When confronted with ignorance you are best served by ignoring it or if you challenge the person be prepared to be attacked verbally, emotionally and possibly physically too. The best fight is of course the one that did not happen....

Well there are different kinds of women, and I guess you're just not his type. I am attracted to more dominant males, not submissive ones. Everyone has their preferences, but a lot of people won't admit it. There are men who like submissive women, there are men who look for dominant women. I don't see anything wrong with it.

He didn't state she was wrong for him he stated she was not suitable for a man because she was not brought up to be submissive. The way he said it is insulting.
I am also partial to dominant men. I am in no way submissive though

I don't agree with a woman having to be submissive.. but I do like a woman to be a woman to conduct herself as such.... heck if she wants to wear pants outside of the bedroom by all means.. as long as she puts back on the lingerie when she's in the bedroom..happy laugh

If the alternative is to be submissive to public opinion or the thoughts and opinions of internet strangers rather than the men she chooses and allows to continue being in her life, then yes.

I have had strong women in my life.I did not love them because they were strong.
I have had submissive women in my life.I did not love them because they were submissive.Love and respect walk hand in hand.
Submissive does not mean weak.

this concept of dominant and submissive
of one 'holding power' over another
to me does not usually work in a marriage

unless both are perfectly content with those rather rigid roles

roles have a tendency to change..over time
and who we are in a marriage may be rather fluid

meaning at times one may take the lead
and show strength in an area and one may be content to stand back and allow that person to do so
and at next moment those roles may flip flop

or both may put their heads together to come up with a compromise or the best plan for moving forward

No.
I see a lot of my office mates who are dominant
but are good wives.
Most them are married for more than 2 decades,
that should say something.

I see married couples too who shares control and it works
for them perfectly.

Case to case bases I guess.

-----
Need to be submissive?
Yes for me, personally hahahaha
if I want to be a good wife,
I really want a husband who can lead me,
who can make me follow his orders
and make good decisions for both of us.

I know it is a bit archaic.
But I value my independence so much
and work hard to maintain it
to make me just give it up or
squander it with just anyone.
He has to be someone who can make me submit
and still make me love him & be loyal to him.

Otherwise, being single is really not that badbigsmile

I don't like to inflict things onto people, so being dominant wouldn't be my style. There should be the choice. Usually, it just happens anyway. I never discussed it til now? There's quite a horrific personal experience that put me off dominant men.

Is RedMist back? I ain't seen him yet ...

I suppose in some countries women are still supposed to be submissive. Thank goodness that is all changing, even though it will take time.
Even in 1st world countries there's major differences still between one and the other, and even per area it can vary.
But we'll get there in the end.

Equality and complementing each other is what it's all about. For me anyways. Some aren't that far yet. Fair enough. Just don't come knocking on my door.
