What do you mean "scan it"? I've never seen that option on the cascade menu.

You can do a reverse image lookup to see if the photo is elsewhere on the internet.

Tineye.com is popular site for this.

Image searches are quick to do if you are using Google Chrome as your browser.

This has happened to me a few times. A man writes to me and it looks like a good letter. It seems sincere and shows that he read my profile. There are pictures, so I decide to respond, and I think I am kind of quick but when I write back, his account is deactivated. Why do people write to me, then deactivate their account?" I sometimes respond within 10 minutes. I guess that is not fast enough.

I cannot say why men do this.
Maybe some think it is funny as heck to send out messages with pictures and then disappear?
The only thing I can say, maybe wait a bit longer before you reply and first check to see if they are still active? And don't invest too much time and emotion and energy in the first reply you send. Keep it short and sweet, so you can wait and see if they reply and are for real.
Just don't let the chaff discourage you, you may still find the golden grain.

Cat, I agree with Peggy.
They are spammers.
It is not you, or your response time.
It is them.

Thread is turning Chit Chat..
I'm out

This happen a few times to me. Often they have been overly blunt in the note that was sent. I feel they become embarrassed and so delete. You might say it was their "last-kick-at-the-can" frustrated

I empathise with you cantinidaho . I think many of us have experienced what you describe to varying degrees. When you ve spent enough time in the chatworld , u have to develop a really thick skin and understand that the people here that pursue you are generally pursuing several other people at the same time. That is thenature of the chatroom world. And depending on what the pursuer is looking for, he may deem other targets as better candidates to get money or cyber sex from if that is his goal, or he might just decide he has more physical or emotional chemistry with his other targets. Because you are one of MANY targets, try to understand that it is nothing personal. It just has to do with people's preferences, and the chatroom world is wired to have u competing with dozens of other people for someones attention . And the chatroom attention span often resembles that of a schizophrenic monkey. :)Try not to wait around on anyone. Interact with as many people as you can and only give special attention to the ones who demonstrate consistency in in their attention towards you. Drop the ones that fail that test like a hot potato and view their magical disappearances as a blessed assistance in weeding out losers. Good luck to you!

Very well said Peggy, I agree to everything you said:)

Yeah I consider those the copy and paste pro's.
I do two things when I receive email from someone I don't know
I right click photo and scan it...
I then click their profile and that usually tells me a lot.

When I was single it was like Next....

is it giving more/different results than the "google reverse image search" does? what is the difference?

I have replied to emails from ladies expressing interest only never to hear from them again, I often wonder whether that is all they really wanted, a reply, because they see it as a game and it just boosts their ego. Time waster's.

Good luck to you in the future.

Also You have to realize there are a lot of scammers out there I mean A LOT, there are people who post pics of porn stars passing them selves off as there profile pics, they probably get reported then there profile gets shut down

Yeah. we really can't get too invested in people's response or lack of response thereof. Chat sites are so rife with scammers and time wasters that we really cant take all the crap we experience personally

I think that people that do this send you a message then deactivate.. simply figure I'm deactivating anyways..
But before I go I'm going to send that message to that really cute girl or boy that I never had the courage to before... at least thats what I tell myself to get myself through the day

Why can I not find the country of Trinidad. The Mingle2 list of countries does not show it. Are others missing ?
