Yes, looks matter. I think all our senses are involved when it comes to attraction. Doesn't mean you have to look like Mr/Ms Universe. But the other has got to find you appealing.
Looks are more than what Mother Nature endowed you with. It also reveals your personality --> the way you dress, your hairdo etc. can tell a lot about you, and make you more or less attractive to someone else.

I think the saying 'love is blind' has more to do with not seeing less pleasant character traits because you're blinded by your feelings.

Of course they matter. Some lady out there has to find me attractive enough to want to be with me....and vice versa. Then the whole personality things comes in and takes over. You can be hotter than hot, but have a crappy personality and it all goes to...well crap.

Ummm.. yeah, LOVE might be blind, but the person who is feeling it has sensory organs, likes and dislikes, and so on.

why should it matter after all we were all created by the image and likeness of GOD so nobody is ugly before anybody.

In the beginning somewhat in the end Nope not a bit...
By then you have seen the inner person.
Now if that is ugly isn't going to matter how good looking they are on the outside they are still gonna be ugly.

I would say looks matter . But !!after going to the hockey game tonight..
and seeing how many beautiful drop dead gorgeous women ..that where there with men.. that really weren't all that good looking.. and giving the price of season hockey tickets..I would have to say money matters more than looks ..yup.. money the great equalizer..

Love is not blind even if the person you are asking is blind.

Even if you can not see you have other senses, societal and hormonal even tactile and olfactory attractions to others.

Somehow it does but it's not all about physical appearance hope it makes sense
