Are you really HAPPY with your FIRST AND/OR SECOND NAMES?

Yes.
My names are really freaking awesome.

At least compared to some.

I'm glad my parents weren't cruel.

I'd hate to be called Harry Butz, or Ben Doverson, or Hang Sway Lo, or something like that.

Some kids sue their parents due to their name.

Some parents try to name their kid Hitler and run into problems.

I'm really happy with my names.

I'm indifferent towards my name, it's just something I tell people to call me other then "hay you" or profanity. Personally I don't really care what people call me and I often use the worn out joke "as long as you don't call me late for dinner".

Actually I despise my first name.. That is why I use my nickname Rains more than anything..
Middle name is fine.. Last name fits me...rofl...

Yes, my name is good. I'm not changing it, even if I get married.

I like my name on my birth certificate..
but my parents changed it when I was christened..
I was a baby so I didn't have a say.

I don't like my given name. Someone told me I look more like a Nicole than my given name. So call me Nicole.

Most Filipinos (in the good ole days) use their mother's maiden name as their second name... so I'm good with my second name.

Have a great weekend

Yeah, had some problems with my last name/family name in the past, but got over that.

My three names given at birth are fine, esp the first one. Named after my aunt, granny, mom, in that order.

I am danged proud that my aunt's name is my first name given at baptism, but it's not the same as my first name.

Names are funny things in this respect. How I react emotionally to my own, probably says more about my sense of place in the world, and my sense of everything from self-belief to family ties, than it does anything else. And that can change over time.

I've changed by my age. When I was a kid, I wanted to be known by my first name, because there were lots of strong positive movie and historical figures with the same one. But my mother, and most of my school teachers, insisted on using my middle name. My mom, because she chose it, and my teachers, because there were always several other students with my first name in class already, and they wanted to use the unique one.

By now, I long ago got used to my middle name, and use it by preference. But it's not because I don't like my first name, it's because I've come to associate the use of my middle name, with an indication that the other person knows me as one human to another, while I associate the use of my first name, to be proof that the other person sees me as a thing. Like a customer, or a worker, or whatever, and not as a respected person.

I didn't like my name for years. I found it boring.
It wasn't until I discovered the meaning of it. I have met people with my name and we are similar in character. Lol hehehe we do have an adventure.
We get called the Terrible T's. It's about having fun.
