Having a hard time believing anything men say in the mail.

They all look and seem fake! Everyone of them.

Had to report one this am for a very inappropriate profile picture.

I'm ready to throw in the towel...

I do enjoy the forums, but that's about it.

What should I do?

Find some inner strength. If you can't stomach sifting through the bad to find the good, then you indeed might as well give up.

Get a profile text. A nice one, not one that goes like:
If you do this DO NOT blabla
If you ARE NOT, then do not contact me blabla
YOu have to be ... blablabla
I do NOT want ... blablabla

That sort of negative, aggressive profiles seem to attract the bad guys.
Whereas if you got a really nice, positive text, the a-holes seem to skip you a lot more.
Negative attracts more of the negative...
positive attracts more of the positive...

If you like forums ...stay.
But date locally in real life.

I may have a different view if I was a woman, I would imagine it to be a bit of a chore at times.

I always laugh when a woman sends me a naked pic of herself.....mostly cause I think she clicked on the wrong profile to send it to.

I started think about the Match section this way, "it's not a question of if I would like to meet them but more of a question of if I think it's a fake profile." I started doing this because for the most part the fake accounts were the only ones that would message me. How ever they don't message me as much as they use to which leads me to believe that there is some small group that owns the majority of the fake profiles on this site and they are starting to realize that I am a waste of their time.

As for reporting inappropriate profile pics, I do that at least once a day.

Reset your filters.
Ignore the fakes and spammers.
And continue enjoying the forums.
A lot of us are still here because M2's forums is the best.

Try to take the yucko's with a grain of salt and just have fun chatting in the forums until someone nice finds ya.

I can pretty much guarantee with no photo it will be a long wait. This is a visual medium up front. I did not read your profile but a good one is a big help.

Always said if more of the people that use Mingle would invite friends and family to join it would not be such slim pickings.

Well it takes time to believe anyone, one two or 3 isn't enough to get a feel for a man or woman. Expect them to spin you.. Takes time to know someone

Honestly you aren't so young that you haven't met fakes in real life. Same thing here, you and I both know people lie and spin all the time. That is life. The internet isn't for the faint hearted. Out here people can be what they want to be and figure no one will ever find out. Sad but true.

I have been out on the internet almost a decade and I have met some screwballs and some wonderful people.

It is buyer beware think of this as shopping you don't buy the first pair of shoes you see do you?

Enjoy the fun times and go from there. If you feel you are talking to a fake profile report them.

There are fakes and scammers all over the internet and in the real world.

A towel is just about the most massively useful thing any interstellar Hitchhiker can carry. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so readly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a miniraft down the slow heavy River Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can't see it, it can't see you - daft as a brush, but very very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course you can dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

I know I'm not that young and I know how to handle myself, believe you me! I will stay for these fun forums and have also went back to my ole "fishing hole" which seems to have more real people. So it's all good and I appreciate all the great advice from everyone of you!
