I didn't really get the point either. It also should have set up the next Thor movie, but it didn't really seem to. I guess we will have to wait and see. They just started filming Thor 3: Ragnarok.

Anyone who the Ragnarok storyline knows that Thor dies in Ragnarok.

Right, but Marvel will be changing that since they aren't going to give up a lucrative comic book series for the sake of history/myth. :)

Actually that be giving it up. All contacts are up by the end of the next two part Avengers movie and in the comics other people take up the persona's of Captain America, Thor and Iron Man....

Disney will probably get some lesser paid actors and switch them out... They would be stupid to get rid of Downey though, they should offer that guy whatever he wants to keep him on. Iron Man really made all of these movies possible and well his appearance in Civil War doubled box office projections.......

Pretty much. That and they don't want to pay the costs of big name actors when they can get other ones cheaper not realizing that the actors who made these roles popular would be a bigger draw making them more money.

It's now been announced that Downey will be in the next Spider Man movie and possibly Thor 3, which isn't surprising since all of the Marvel movies he has been in since Iron Man 2 have crossed the billion dollar mark, doubling what Captain America 2 and Thor 2 made. That's why they included him in Civil War and it worked that fil is at 1.4 billion already and I believe Captain America 2 was only brought in 700 or 800 million........

What could happen is what happens in the beginning of the Disney movie George of the Jungle 2, which has Christopher Showerman playing the part of George instead of Brendan Fraser.

In the opening, the off-screen narrator is talking to the movie's audience:
"And as our story begins, our popular potent potentate has produced a prince."

Upon seeing that it is Showerman playing George, the narrator addresses him:
"Huh? Wait a minute! Who the heck are you?"

To which Showerman looks into the movie camera and replies, "Me new George. Studio too cheap to pay Brendan Fraser."

I know that Mark Ruffalo (Hulk) is going to be in Thor 3 so it wouldn't surprise me if the rest of the Avengers cast is in it as well.

The sexy actress of "Fast & Furious 7" and "Game of Thrones", Nathalie Emmanuel, is supported by many fans to play the role.

A few days ago, Marvel announced that Tony Stark would be walking away from his latest suit of power armor. His replacement is going to be Riri Williams, an extremely talented student who attended M.I.T. on scholarship.

What started as a challenge for herself ended up becoming a secret project to create her own suit of armor, in a manner similar to the Iron Man Armor. After weeks of work, Riri finally created a working prototype, using mainly stolen material from campus. When she was showing it to a dorm mate, campus security knocked at her door to inquire her about her recent suspicious activities, prompting her to don the suit of armor.

After flying around the country trying to get the hang of her suit's flying capabilities, Riri intercepted a couple of inmates escaping from the New Mexico State Penitentiary. She managed to stop the speeding truck they were using as a escape vehicle, but at the cost of her armor's integrity.

She quickly attracts the attention of billionaire Tony Stark. Our Iron Man discovers her talents and decides to pass on his responsibilities to save the world to Williams.

Giving a black girl one of the most recognizable names in the Marvel universe and turning her into a flagship hero is a monumental move for the comic book company, one that will affect more than just Marvel’s future comic book stories.
love drool smitten
Riri Williams’s ascension to Iron Man status comes amid Marvel’s ongoing push for more diversity in its titles, which has already given us a black Captain America, a female Thor, a Muslim American Ms. Marvel, and a black-Latino Spider-Man. That push has been met with applause from fans who want to be included, praise and recognition from critics, and prickly criticism from comic purists who believe their beloved titles have been shunted aside for gimmicks and stunts.

There are a few potential young stars for the role such as Nathalie Emmanuel (Fast & Furious 7, Game of Thrones), Zendaya (singer/actress in Shake It Up and K.C. Undercover) and Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead, Once Upon a Time and Courtney on The Good Wife).
