or man whore
goes both ways does it not?

think there are some people in the world that have given up
on finding anyone and so these people do one of following things

1. go to corner bar and hit on anyone they might be able to take home
2. just find someone to sleep with on a semi-regular basis
3. give up entirely
4. settle for someone because they are tired of looking and this one is good enough

If the realistic alternative is failed relationships with a bunch of kids to a single parent, then yes.

Otherwise, no.

Everything you do is ultimately an expression of who you are, everything you keep doing is just training to specialize in an area.
The more you train and specialize in an area, the more difficult it is to change, or accurately see any other path.

Friends with benefits is not a good thing, does not communicate anything positive, nor lead to any healthy relationship habits.
The only thing FWB really has going for it is that it's not as bad as some alternatives.

IMO you're kinda asking "do you believe McDonald's is a good thing?"
It's better than starving or eating salted butter sticks like candy bars. But it's not good for you.

Make friends.
Masturbate.
Keep the two separate.
It really is in your best long term interests.

In my humble opinion, it's not "right" or "wrong" ....

As long as both people are honest - it's a choice.

It's not something I would be interested in, but I don't judge those who are into that sort of thing.

My guess is, there would always be one person hoping for more...

define 'good'

if we use the minimalist value of
'makes us feel good without hurting others'

definitely

if we define 'good'

as morally 'right', where morals are based in Christian(biblical) standards

absolutely not

For myself a resounding NO!!!
For others I have seen it work as long as the ground rules are set in place.
I have a female friend that is the only way she will go. And it works for her.
I have a guy friend that is in it now so far so good.

Me I see a sticky situation be cause sooner or later feelings are going to develop and someone is going to want more... Then the chaos begins.
