Can we compare our brain to the Creator's Brain, (Nauazubillah) Why is Space Expanding, how the Planets Orbiting, Where did the Water come from on Earth, if we can't answer questions such as these then we should humbly lower our head and accept that we have been given a brain with limited capacity (primitive).

Sorry just my thoughts

Winter is to give the television weather men and women something different to complain about.

In summer they wait for the heat, and when it comes it is too hot, or too long, or too humid etc., and they pine for cooler weather.

Then when winter comes, it is suddenly too cold, too wet, too muddy or floody, and they want the heat back again after just a few days of cold.

And it gives the storm chasers something to do.

winter just makes us appreciate any weather that is NOT winter.

Funny a Canuck asks this question...
..Lol.. exactly we live with it for 6 months.. and I still can't figure out what the point of it is.....Lol... a blanket of Frozen water covering everything.. frigid temperatures.. making life unbearable...
Animal struggle people struggle equipment struggles... it's nothing but hardship..sooo why.???.... those people living closer to the Equator don't have winter and it doesn't seem to affect them not having it...

Winter is nature's method of teaching you the laws of thermodynamics.

Zeroth law of thermodynamics:
If two systems are in thermal equilibrium with a third system, they are in thermal equilibrium with each other. This law helps define the notion of temperature.

First law of thermodynamics:
When energy passes, as work, as heat, or with matter, into or out from a system, the system's internal energy changes in accord with the law of conservation of energy. Equivalently, perpetual motion machines of the first kind (machines that produce work with no energy input) are impossible.

Second law of thermodynamics:
In a natural thermodynamic process, the sum of the entropies of the interacting thermodynamic systems increases. Equivalently, perpetual motion machines of the second kind (machines that spontaneously convert thermal energy into mechanical work) are impossible.

Third law of thermodynamics:
The entropy of a system approaches a constant value as the temperature approaches absolute zero. With the exception of non-crystalline solids (glasses) the entropy of a system at absolute zero is typically close to zero, and is equal to the natural logarithm of the product of the quantum ground states.

we have about 2 weeks of winter here...last time it snowed was about 6 years ago...an that was on a Christmas, of all days... Time before that it snowed on Christmas was over 100 years... Winter is not a big concern out here...

I don't think we were meant to know the reason for winter. It was here before we were. Mother nature may be thinking the same thing with what is the reason for humans?

The purpose of winter is to give pause to wonder at the purpose of it.
l guess the answer we come up with will depend on whether you snow ski or water ski during that season.

Too cool down the earth, there is alot of body heat with the growing population, and without winter we would all cook like popcorn in a microwave.
