It's not a requirement that you answer each and every note you receive.
No response is a response.

I don't bother. Even when I was here to find someone (back in the day), if that's all they had to say....not worth my response

I reply only to few. Only to those who are my chat friends (from the forums) and to those who have nice profile (I don't reply to people ig I can see nothing there)

don't men email in sentences any more!!!!

IME a lot of people only really respond in sentences when the conversation is immediate.

So many people use dating site apps anymore that short messages are more an attempt to phish whether or not you are immediately online and available to give them attention right when they want you to.

If you respond in the time frame they want you to respond (immediately) they might start sending longer and longer texts.

Until they get kinda bored, then the texts/messages start getting shorter and shorter.

Otherwise, IME, they tend to be phishing for entertainment or information.
They want to see if you'll drag them out of their "shell," or drag conversation from them, or chase them to see if they want to talk to you, or provide them with a conversation they can be a part of, to show that you're interested and what they're looking for.

oh so you sent them a message in full sentences and they reply with "hi"

.. sounds like they are not that interested, Toody. I won't bother responding.

Well....we have evolved since the caveman "Ugh! Woman. Me like you" phase, followed up with a club to the head of said woman. Yeah...we have moved along (ever so slowly) to just "Hi".....it's our bashful phase. Plus....don't you remember leaning history of how the original "Me too" movement started and ended all the clubbing to the woman's head thing? See....men can be taught. laugh
