i gotta be honest.. new years is right up there with valentines day for me... most of my friends have boyfriends/girlfriends... and when that big ball drops.. well lets put it this way.. its a constant reminder that i'm single lol... does anyone else feel this way... what do you do about it?? i don't wanna not go out.. but at the same point i hate it

I get ass drunk and forget the pain...and I miss the damn ball dropping. Might stay sober this New Years.

I never go out anymore on New years Eve.........its a couples night........tried it before and ended up sitting in the ladies room talking to the attendant at midnight........and while the slow songs were playing...............makes being the 5th wheel worse

get your friends together and have a party drink dance just know you are a wonderful women you deserve the best in life and there is a great guy out there for you it just takes time

I know what you mean, it sort of stinks at times.. I go out with friends and make the best of it.. But I do feel that twinge at times.. All in all I just remind myself that I'm single by choice not b/c I have to be...

New Yrs isnt THAT BAD. One of my best friends DIED last new yrs eve and found out about 10 minutes before ball dropped. Wonder how this new yrs will go.

I'm planning on getting extremely drunk, making out with a complete stranger (hopefully female) and taking a taxi home. It sure beats hiding in my apartment, wallowing in self-pity, like I did last year.

I don't think your situation is isolated. I feel the same way, typically stay home and out of trouble. It would be sweet and romantic to spend the quiet evening ushering in the New Year with that special someone. As the fireworks from the San Francisco Bay went off, I reflected on the year gone by, which always seemed too fast, and the goals and wishes for the year ahead.

Ok ppl, Seems like wer'e all in the same boat for New Years. So, why don't we just have our own little New Years Bash right here on Just say hi.????????????????? This is were most of my friends are and yours too probably. I'll make my famous punch I call Fruity goodness, after a couple of those, you'll forget about not having a significant other. LOL
 So, what do you guys think????? I know I can count on Coco to join in, right girl???????????????????

No offense, SWEETENSEXYB, I'm here to get pointers to help get me away from the computer more often. It's a swell idea and you all can have fun with it if you like. I think New Years is over-rated anyway. Order a pizza, drink beer and watch the ball drop on tv.

 i sure hope so lol.. but i'm totally not one of those people who is miserable single.. i just feel like there are certain days of the year completely insensitive to the single population haha and new years is one of em |

OMG- I was going to start this same topic..yeah, I hate new years..last year's resolution was to NOT be alone this year...things arent looking well...perhaps I should lower my moral fence..go to the closest bar and find some random man to share the first seconds of 2008 with...but, I'll probably just lay in bed and cry
 I really hate this single lifestyle...

Well, thankfully my family is planning our first ever New Years bash. So that is cool, but nobody to kiss when the new year begins.
 But, we will have all kinds of food, games, and fireworks. So, that is good. "sigh" Need a date now. To bad I can't take a "escort" there...my family would crap a brick!
