Topic: How much can one breach taboos?

Which taboos? You can breach social taboos until you have no friends. Sexual taboos? You can breach them as far as a willing partner will allow. Moral taboos? You can breach them as far as you like. Once your caught, you can breach them again in prison.

Many taboos have a real basis for why they were created. Some society has done away with because they no longer made sense. Others no longer make sense either but society hasn't adopted the change. When you understand the reason behind the taboo and it isn't applicable any longer, then there is no valid reason to conform other than misplaced societal pressure.

Let's have some discussion on it. sandhesh I think it is a great topic as mr kid said some things that were taboo have changed .. For example menstruation ... you can now buy tampons for your lover .. this was not always the case . Some populations still have taboos surrounding menstruation but for the most part it is just another bodily function
