About 48-58. I have dated a lot older than that.

I've always believed that age does matter but with it getting harder (or seems that way) that maybe age isn't that important. I read it a lot.

I guess if two people of different ages find each other attractive (first tick for me) and feel that spark without any pretense then why not go for it.

I have rethought my age preferences in the last year or so and I think between 53-73 would be ok.

I also feel as we get older we become more choosy which often means we sit on the shelf longer so to speak.

I guess each to their own.

So strange, the age issues. A fascinating sociological statement here on a dating site. So many men my age want to date women younger - it's a real desire for them...a big man thing I guess. When I see they are looking for a young honey I am not interested in them; it seems shallow, is it all about looks/status? - unless perhaps they really want someone young who physically can still have children to start a family. some men are clearly much older than their photos - same game?? But on the opposite extreme I got so many messages from younger, much younger men. I write back and tell them they are too young and they write back and say they are so into older women. What's with that?? What's going on with this younger generation?? Are they looking for a mother-figure or what? I really don't get it and I'm not into playing cougar so I gave up and blocked messages for anyone less than 5 years younger than me. It's enjoyable to date someone nearly the same age - they remember the same music, history events from different perspectives.

Makes no difference to me whether you are of legal age, my own age, or my mother's age.

I am looking for someone to hang out with, to grow on, to be fond of, and to learn the truth of what ish "genuine happiness" when we say i love you, without having the urges to be horny.

But it helps a lot to be easy on the old eyes.
Unfortunately most of those whom are way too young are obviously sexually immature, inexperienced, lacking in wisdom, lacking greatly in poise, vastly illiterate, and grammatically crass.
While 93% of those whom are older than I be. Are fixated on what they like only, or girls that just want to have fun (like their young counterparts) because they are aware that their own clock ish ticking relentlessly so they want to squeeze in some fun before they're too old to have any fun.
Ash for the other seven percent of older womens that I have perused, they were cute, but I am not their type, on the basis that they are spoiled rotten.

So, it goes that I'm looking, waiting to find that nice girl in between that suits me as I might suit her.

But unfortunately a lot of these seem to just be eye candy, without substance or just girls that want to have fun, not necessarily hunting for someone to settle down and homestead some where, with a cat or two (too many haves doges, and most of them with doges have ugly mutts).
