Wondering how people feel about his movie: Rambo V: Last Blood.
It's quite something as Sylvester is 72 (!!!) and looks it as well, haha.
So at first I thought, "Really! Go do something else, old man!"
But... I am actually quite excited to see what they're going to come up with. If they do it right and not come up with some unbelievable BS, it could be a great way to end the sequel.

So how do you feel about another John Rambo movie, with him being 72 years old?
Yea or Nay?

It's Hollywood. The actor plays a part that sometimes is younger or older than they really are. Liam Neeson was playing "Taken" and killing with his bare hands like he was 40 and it was quite realistic. Well, real "HOLLYWOOD" anyway...

Stallone did a good job playing the aged boxer in "Rocky 98" so I'm sure they will make this one believable unless he plays a kid in diapers. I don't think they could use enough makeup for that.

I liked "First Blood" a lot. I've seen it many times. I can't say that I really liked all the following Rambo movies. I don't want to see him at 72, and what would the story be? I think it should be put to rest.

Yes, in a way. In another sense, there's ex Vietnam veterans that age, so if they'd come up with a good story it could make a nice impression of how they're now doing. But then it would likely be another genre than "Rambo" haha.

I know what you mean, Crystal. Rambo is known as an action movie, so I don't know what the next chapter would be.

I'm not big on sequels.
So, it's nice that they're bringing the
storyline to a close.

I don't like sequels either. First Blood was a good movie. That was it for me.

Hihi, I'm not necessarily a fan either, but that's mostly sequels like "Total Recall part 48" or "Friday the 13th part 56", grin.

Some are good, like "Taken" or the "Fallen" sequel with Gerald Butler. I'm looking forward to the 3rd installment in August.

With Rambo, I think with the last one I felt like, this has been enough! But I'd have to see it again to know why, and if I still feel the same.

Maybe they should've given the man a happy ending after part 3, a nice home-life and a missus.

Arnie has been doing a good job and hanging in there.
Bruce Willis just won't die anywhere, (unless he is already dead).
Clint Eastwood till does good.
So if Sylvester can manage not to mumble too much, with a good storyline, good co-stars, and heaps of C.G.I. will probably do the trick.

An angry old tough guy who knows too much, has a mission, and has a chip on his shoulder, and access to military grade toys. YAY!! I can just see old fashioned organic materials and seasoned combat wiles bringing down high tech soldiers, with over sized explosions and dry humour quips.

And I hope he does find his home to retire to, and a few living survivors of his exploits to re-live the glory days with.drinker

I did like the Dirty Harry series. Clint Eastwood. There were 5 movies and I liked them.

When you think Rambo you think action shoot em ups.
Robert Redford is still making movies.
Stallone is doing Escape Plan 3 and while the first two were watchable, the majority of the physical action sequenes were portrayed by the younger actors.
I imagine his role will be significant but not physically taxing.

Yes, I think so as well. A similar thing was done by Bruce Willis.

But with some actors I feel like, for goodness sake stay off-screen! Hihi. Some become rather difficult to look at. Michael Douglas is a good example of this, although I feel Stallone is getting there too.
Sean Connery -88- isn't doing too bad when it comes to that.

Just saw the trailer for it. First of all, I had no idea this was even being made. And my first reaction was..."sigh". But after watching the trailer I am actually excited to see it. Mainly cause I am tired of Hollywood pushing the SJW initiative and this is simply Stallone being a badass.

Similar here, going from 'sigh' to getting quite excited to see it.
Does SJW include all the comic book 'heroes' BS? If so, I wholeheartedly agree!

Yeah....it includes all that "comic book hero" bs. I don't care if the hero is male, female...blah, blah, blah......just give me good action, good story and no political crap. And Stallone can still deliver. So I am down with this.

Wow! The first person who agrees with me on the comic book stuff, and an American at that! I find it hugely annoying as most movies that have come out last couple of years are that genre.
I also prefer a good story and decent action, without the superpower BS.
