so its funny, I have a bunch of friends in thge metalcore/thrash thread and yes I do have a slight feeling towards the alternative, so of course being without piercings and tattoos was gonna be the death of me, wasnt getting me anywhere with anyone outside and definitely wasnt getting me anything inside. so I gave in and got my lip pierced and my ears were already pierxed, now Im looking to get either snakebites(double lip piercings) or/ and an eyebrow, and I dont wanto go to far, so rate me, yes on more, yes on less, only bites only eyebrow 1-10

Honestly if you have to ask if you should get it done then Don't do it!!

Tattoos are there for a lifetime...piercings on the face leaves scars for a life time specially the ones on the eyebrows those scars never go away..

You should never do something just to fit in if you do then you are really not part of that group.. Just a outsider looking in.. And in the end you are left with tats and or piercings you wish you had not gotten..

One should only get Tattoos due to they want them and there is a meaning behind them...

Hell I ride a trike many of my friends that rides a motorcycle has tattoo's just cause they do does not mean I have to.. Myself I have none.. But if I do decide to get one it will be one that I want and has some meaning behind it.. Not to try to fit in a group....

very true, that would be the case if it was something that I wasnt passionate about, I'm in the alternative scene through and through, been scene since getting into Children of Bodom and metallica in highschool, now the question is, does my look agree? do the piercings compliment my look or just distract?

everyone of my peers agree, I do look good, and I agree but from an alternative standpoint, like looking into a mirror, I see others in my scene the way I see myself, but others outside dont usually come up to me so I feel like I attract the opposite sex and same sex frankly but only from my own people.

so from the standpoint of people not in the scene, how do I stack? just rate me on the street

You either want it or you don't.
Screw what anyone else thinks.
A unique individual doesn't need to wear any uniform or symbol, unless formally joining a group.
In a bunch of tatooed pin cushions, you will be unique and individual.
Or, you could get something unseen, but cooler than anyone else has.

Why look for or need someone who's not in your scene? If the others are your scene, search there. Why want someone who isn't into all that stuff?

I personally don't like it. Definitely not a lip piercing. Horrible, as if someone has either a huge wart or a fly on their mouth. You can't tell from afar and close up it doesn't look attractive either.
Same for eyebrow piercings.

No I have had piercings myself, but no freaking way in my face! And I never went overboard with it. I like subtlety and class.
I have none anymore, except for the normal pierced ears for earrings.

As for your looks, depends on the exact setting, but I might cross the street.

Again, why need to have 'normal' people want you if this is what you want to look like?

Just get a whole bunch of self adhesive studs and rings, try them for a few weeks, see what you and others think, then it you want get it done for real

I think tatoos and piercings are something you'll really regret in the future and I think you already know that but I'm also for doing your own thing so in the end you'll have to decide for yourself.

Hello nightheart ., took a peek at your photos and profile . You obviously have a passion for Metallica and art . If you are planning changes for yourself ., then do what makes you feel good not to be accepted by a group .

I also took a look at brow and lip piercings . Most of the men had one or two lip piercings . Either a ring or a stud . Think the ring type you have suits you and would stick with that . If you are considering another lip ring . Your lips are quite small .. Go for a double on the same side not one on each side . Lip piercings draw the eye more than eyebrow piercings . Some brow piercings are barely noticeable and usually are just a stud type (like a metallic pimple lol ) Have you thought about growing a little goatie ?? You can always shave it off if you don't like it . Maybe try a temporary tattoo before deciding on a permanent design . At the end of the day though you are part of a group you can still be an individual . Rock what your momma gave you .. best of luck

I dated a guy once that have 30 some piercings, he eventually had to remove them
(almost all) when he went into a decent job. Long sleeves to cover tats, etc., He didn’t
really do it to fit into a scene, he was into the pain aspect of getting them, but none the less.
You have to truly want something for yourself, not for others, or some scene
because your 50, 60, 70 year old self has to live with it (at least the ink).
