When you talk about having or winning -let's say- $25 mill a lot of people say it should be shared among many people.
I always beg to differ. In this day and age $25 mill isn't that much if you have big plans.

Then, reading Jeff Bezos -founder & CEO of Amazon- has $176 BILLION... holy f***!! Okay you can do big stuff with that, but what on Earth do you do with that?
His 4 kids are going to be lucky, but will they be happy? I've often seen kids of millionaires turn out to be spoilt, depressed, lost in life, and not achieving anything.
But $176 billion... $176 million still means something, I can still sort of imagine that. But $176 BILLION? Makes my head spin, haha.

Anywho, look at these number about Jeff Bezos:

On May 1, it was $132 billion, meaning it rose $33 billion. If you divide that difference by the 120 days in that period, you find that he made $275 million a day. Divide that by 24 hours in a day to get about $11.5 million per hour, the equivalent of roughly $191,000 per minute or — the clincher — $3,182 every second.

$11,5 mill an hour! Give me a morning, 4 hours, and I'm VERY happy, haha.

It would be good to be rich enough to start and support many unprofitable businesses which actually help humanity and nature, rather than polluting or destroying to make a profit, like the current trend is.
With some dosh I could buy a nice house, a nice wife, a nice car, and appoint people to do whatever I don't want to do. Get someone else to build my boats.

I could get crazy and launch a bicycle into space with a space suited mannequin riding it, and solar panels powering the wheels spinning, for stabilisation. I want a yellow submarine, a steam powered spruce goose, and a real hoverboard.
I could travel the world, and annoy fellow minglers in person; joy.

But what is the impact created by gaining that profit ? It has to come from taking from people (over charging), or taking from nature, or both.

The down side of super richness wouldn't make it worth it if you were super mega rich: massive security, no privacy, paranoia, hoards requesting donations and help, devious employees, crazy stalkers, and no one can get near you so you lose touch with community and reality. You could only mingle with other 'celebrities' and heads of state and the like. Never to meet another real average person again.

10 Mil would do me for life, and also my new partner, if she's not dishonest.

If i win, it's mine.

I may, at my discretion, treat a
a small number of friends.
I may share a chunk of money with
a few family members.

But, the lion's share stays mine.

F' the "many people".

I think Jackie Chan's attitude is quite the healthy one! I would leave my kids money, but I wouldn't raise them as spoilt rich good-for-nothing numbskulls.

Celebraties are not the same btw as rich people. Rich people often do not get fame, at least not in the same way as for instance Jackie Chan or Tom Cruise.
I think celebraties are more prone to getting problems because of all the media attention and not being able to go anywhere in the world without being revered, recognised, harassed, and so on. Plus dealing with the money.

People like this Jeff Bezos could easily walk the streets, at least here. No one will recognise him.
Now since he is I believe the richest man in the world, he will likely get his own type of harassment and interest, but I do think it's different from Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson, Oprah Winfrey etc.

Creating nonsense is one sure way to get rid of your money, haha.
And almost all -if not all- rich people do things for the planet, mankind, animals etc. etc.
That's the good thing when you're that rich: you are far more freer from stress over paying the bills, which makes it a helluva lot easier to get into the heart and wanting to serve.

BTW almost all rich people got there by doing something that serves other people. People who are only focused on making lots of money are the ones who usually don't make it. Really successful people all had/have a vision, a passion, and as opposed to 'average' people, they also act upon it and take risk to manifest their dream.
Average people who never get there tend to stay stuck in the rat-race, afraid to get out, afraid they lose what little they have.
Meaning their vision and passion isn't strong enough to propel them forward.

Many then end up blaming rich people because they're envious. That's why we say "he's filthy stinking rich!" or "he probably sells drugs!" etc.
Also the reason why I chose different phrasing my this topic's title :)

I guess we all have our ways of dealing with things. What you say does go 100% against the Law of Attraction though...

Maybe, but when it comes to business people I feel it's different. They worked their butts off to get where they are. It's not like it's falling in their lap. They WORK for it. Difference is, they dared take risk to begin to manifest their dream, what most never dare do, and they keep taking risks to expand. Not to get richer, but
because they are driven, inspired, and keep dreaming and acting upon it :)

Actors I feel is slightly different, but then again... if the movie industry makes close to half a billion on one movie, then it's quite logical the actors who earned them that money also get a good portion of it.
Actors often also took tremendous risks, left their home without a penny on them to move to where they could audition. Played chit parts in chit movies with crap pay, hoping, dreaming to make it. Again not for the money but because they have a vision and a dream: to act in great movies!
Women often even had to prostitute themselves with some yukkie manager to even get a shot. Some maybe willingly, but I don't think for all.
There are very few actors and singers who got their fame and success thrown in their lap.

It depends, some business owners work their way up the ranks. Or take the risk, setting up a business. But there is others, who inherit a business and just get everything offered on a silver plate.

Yep, that's what usually happens to the children of the man who worked his butt of to build up a million dollar company.
I know such people and I can tell you the children run the company into the ground. Reason for that is simple: they never had the dream, the vision, and the drive to build that up.
It's like people winning big in the lottery. Most are worse off after 3 yrs than they were before winning!! That's because they never have learnt to make it in the first place.
If I'd succeed in building op a company that had serious value I would never leave it to my kids. I would sell it to someone who does have the same passion and drive because then the legacy will continue.
I've really seen this with a couple of companies, dad retiring -often having started in the shed of his rental house yonks before- and within a few years it all falls apart when the children take over.

Not to get religious here, but; there's a bible quote, "it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom".

People with "un-godly" amounts of money could do better things with that cash than sitting around counting it or throwing lavish parties.

Just goes to show that the bible is used to hold people in a mindset of lack and poverty. Which was and is their aim, keep people dumb and poor so they themselves can make copious amounts of money. Makes you wonder how these leaders of religions think to get into 'the kingdom'.

I'd be okay with being gloriously rich. I wouldn't keep it all for myself though. If I were to suddenly acquire billions of dollars, my sons would get a small portion, as would my sister and brother. Then I'd split the rest with my roommate.

I thought about what I'd do if I won the lotto. Lots of things come to mind, mostly having to do with some sort of spiritual retreat that focuses on getting back to nature. Or a sustainable living farm. Those require a lot of work, and in all honesty if I won millions or billions of dollars, I wouldn't work. I would live comfortably on a lake and travel. I'd want a small cottage like home with lots of property between me and the neighbors, haha.

I would give back to the community though, on a volunteer basis. Not having to work would give me the opportunity to help organizations that aid victims of disaster. I would also invest in some sort of nature reserve that helps protect natural life and wildlife.

It is not only the Bible, which is used to keep people like sheep. It happens with all organised religions. Which, to me, are more like dictatorships.

And before I get grilled. I am not taking away anybody's belief. Everybody shall be happy in his/her own way. I am only criticizing organized religions, and their 'leaders'.

I'm weird, I don't want more money than I need and I certainly don't need any power over anyone.

If billions of dollars fell in my lap...
I'd stand up and let it fall away.

Money & power mean as much to me right now as they will after I'm dead.

Too many people misunderstand that. My personal misunderstanding is better. It means that having money makes you lazy and causes you to have bad values. That is the reason the rich can't get into the kingdom.

I read something at one time that I can't recall, but a very rich man was going to die and he distributed his wealth to the poor, leaving his widow comfortable, but not with all of his wealth. That was the beginning of the book, there was much more to it. I wish I could remember where I read that. I'd like to read it again.

I don't think about being overly Rich. I am truly Blessed with more than I actually need. I am a generous person and have no problem giving to Some things . I don't play Big Lotto here. But if I won a Sweepstakes, I would be very generous to others I know!! And I have plans of my own.

Commonly, those with a lot of money use that money to have power over others.
