I noticed the forum software still glitches when trying to post special characters like asterix and tilda.

Hahaha, The orange is Mingle2 standard color.
...

Really? Then how is it I had the forums in black for years now?
Thing is, if you don't change a thing it is orange-red, but you can change that in settings. Which is what I chose to do as I find red-orange annoying. Gives me a headache.
And as I already explained, it is still set to black in settings but it now doesn't show up as such anymore. So it's being overruled by another script.
Pretty pointless to have options in settings if you overrule them with something else.
I already explained this, now I had to type it twice, but okay. Maybe it increased the chance that someone who does the forum software reads it.

I see what ya mean. I had mine set to default which is the orange/red so i changed it to blue but it didn't change?

The color doesn't bother me but the other stuff does, like SLOW PAGE LOADS and PAGE LOAD TIMEOUTS.
DROPPED REPLIES and Edit HANGS.

You can paint a car but if it runs like crap its still not a good car.

I'm having issues with the orange font as well and can not get it to change..

They did put the lines back in and fixed another feature we were having issues with in mods..

Hopefully they can get the rest back like it was..

By default I notice the "Upgrade" button is red/orange as well as the forum address line "Community">"Help". The "Post Reply" button and "Add Smiley" button are red/orange as well.

This is part of "Forum Theme Styling".
Most styling editors allow individual elements of a page to be stylized and colored.

I have the 'admin' page of my own forum (with actual forum software) open and I see:

Granted M2 forum is not Proboards Forum software but it is likely to have some type of editor.
In todays online world, hard coding a forum's theme is doing it the hard way.

Since my forum is also a free site, hard coding the theme to save money makes little sense and it causes more work (and time) than is needed.
Granted, I don't know how to hard code but I can use an editor. It doesn't take a genius to choose theme colors or layout options.

A friend of mine is a code monkey. His forum, based on CinVin software also has admin theme editors which he helped write. Thing is, even him, a coder, uses a theme and layout editor to maintain his forum.

Changing a theme to fix performance issues and glitches makes little sense to me. That is unless the coding is raw and complex to the point one snafu screws up everything else. But, why would a code monkey do that to themselves?

The simplest, cost-efficent fix would be to use an established forum software. Tweak it and just maintain it with back-ups and selections.
Aside from any initial cost it would be far cheaper and more effective than what we have here.
Its a 'set it and forget it' situation.
Plus, when there is a problem with the software, you have online help to help you fix it.

M2 Forums is the strangest forum interface I have ever seen and I have seen many.

I'm still wondering & waiting if and when the settings to choose your own things are going to work again?
Like I cannot get the preferred font colour, even though I set it to black, Delightful also had a problem with something that didn't work (anymore) in settings. If memory serves also related to the font.

So please can I get an update if and when this is going to be addressed?

Margins are still too wide. All this scrolling left and right is giving me a cramp in my clicker finger.

I sent the link to this thread again to Keith for him to ask IT if they are going to fix the font since the page runs off to the right for me on a computer & to see if they are going to fix it to where we can change the font color in the forums like before..

Not sure they are going to fix so the page does not run off to the right..

Some have put their font at 125% in order to get the whole page on the screen. Myself if I do that the print is too small for me to read..

But I hope they fix it so we can change the font color in the forums.. The orange is harder for me to read..

Sorry guys this all all I have for now till I hear from Keith..

When I click on a thread topic,
more often than not, I'm taken
to some random profile.
Same with forum categories.

Clicked on who viewed me,
was taken to my own edit profile
page.

It's currently difficult, just
to open a thread.

This is all in addition to
my previous post.

Again, all of this might be
my device.
But, it didn't start happening
until the very recent font and
software/formatting changes.

Me too. There is a lot of "technical" malfunctions latey. Some threads in "recent" show last person to post, but show someone else as the last to post.

Thank you for asking him again, Kristi!

The orange/red is indeed annoying to read and I cannot see what is new either now as it all looks bold.
Black is much more soothing and easy on the eyes.

As for screen width... I do not have that, nor noticed that certain links lead to a profile.

I'm on PC, Windows 10 / using Google Chrome.

It is too small for me and makes it harder to read.. I have sent Keith a message on this..

They need to put it back to where it was..

I agree!

All these latest changes are hard on my eyes. The font size and now size of members pics are too small.

Still needing to scroll right. Margins too wide. Zooming out makes print too small to read. Formatting needs some serious redoing.

Just wondering... can you change the orange-red font colour?

I'm on full site on PC, the only problem I'm having is that, the orange-red font.

Nothing with sliding or thumbnail size, never had that either.
Only other thing that has changed is the reply field/box that is now square instead of rectangular. I can drag it wider, but that's a hassle.

I just hope we can change the colour soon!! Just wondering if you don't have that problem either?
