Do you think it's appropriate for someone looking for a relationship to ask you the last time you had sex? if you think it is, what's the relevance of that kind of information?

I get so many guys asking me that! It's definitely not appropriate at all to ask such a question. Many of these guys claim to be inexperienced and want some kind of sexual favor such as nude pics or want to meet up for sex.

If you're talking about guys you are texting with and have never met in person, it's inappropriate.
The guys who ask that question before a few dates lacks confidence and is looking for women who are more so desperate, thinking that he'll have a better shot at sexual intercourse. Guys like that don't have any thoughts of respect for you or themselves. My opinion is that you should end the conversation immediately and block them from texting you anymore.

No, very inappropriate and none of their business.
Men ask you all kinds of questions without telling you their side first.
It's gathering data and based on that deciding whether they want to get to know you or not.
A mental process only, ticking off boxes.

Nah, I don't think men are so worried about safety. If a woman isn't careful in the heat of the moment most won't even bother to use a condom. Better yet, most don't even have one on them just in case, and most are disturbed when you tell them you want it safe as they don't like it.
Also, I've never encountered a man who wanted to know whether I was protected against pregnancy, so men don't seem to think about that either.
Based on that I doubt men in general are concerned about safety, or pregnancy.

Plus, they also ask stuff like, how long have you been on this dating site? Do you date a lot? Have you had success on this dating site? How have you been single for? Why did you and your ex split up?
Etc. etc.
None of this has to do with sexual safety. It's all mental stuff, being in the head and not in the heart. You cannot start a relationship from the head.

Such a question is inappropriate.
The person who asks that question is not looking for a relationship.
The person is just looking for sex.
Tell the person to visit a brothel.

what's the relevance of that kind of information?

The relevance is the fact most dating/relationships during prime adulthood have a strong sexual component. Either for reproduction needs or personal stimulation.

Sometimes the entire courtship involves the quest for sex. Nobody chooses to date or meet for a date someone without whom they have at least some sexual attraction to.

People do eventually date co-workers and friends of friends with whom they have built personal friendships but for the most part, when 'looking' for a date with a stranger, there must be some sexual attraction.

That being said, it is bad form to ask about a person's sexual experience until a personal bond of trust is established.

More often than not, men are driven by quest and possess less patience than women. Sexual urges push a man hard for fast fulfillment. Often tact and wisdom are low on the priority list. Respect is often forgotten from the overwhelming urges which drive adult men in their prime.

Sometimes women nearing the end of their fertility stage of life will push for sex with similar gusto. Reproduction is a very strong motivator.

One must also acknowledge all people are unique.
There is no exact rule to the behavior of individuals. Generalizations are merely general.

However, looking at the rest of the animal kingdom, sexual reproduction is a strong motivator. Since humans are part of that animal kingdom, it includes us.

No matter what the subject is, tact, respect and honesty hold high value. Anyone who treats you otherwise violates you as a person. This works both ways...

Make wise choices

To me it would be a logical question before starting a relationship.

I do not believe in sex before marriage so it would save wasting a woman's time......

Depends...
It's wrong to ask when:
1.you just match with someone in an app and immediately ask that question.
2. Just meet someone and had a few dates
3. Some one ask out of curiosity and it's none of their business.

It's ok to ask when:
1. You both decided to have an exclusive long term relationship
2. For health in case you or your partner need an std test.
3.if you are going to have unprotected sex (again, for health)
