I'm 5'11" tall and my job requires me to wear heels- usually 3" but taller when I go out. But I am absolutely captivated by a pair of Christian Loubautin heels named Katy. They are black patent, closed pointy toes and have long slim heels that measure 4 1/2" tall. Very sexy and very expensive. Can a gal my size get away with wearing such towering heels without looking grotesque?

What kind of job "requires" a 5'11" woman to wear 3" heels???

By your past posts you seem to be really concerned with style of dress.

These days just about anything goes almost anywhere.

If you are for real, you have an unhealthy obsession with how you look.

That could go two ways.

Wearing those heels would express confidence in your
look as everyone knows you would look taller
and you would be good with that.

Or, if you are in a short world..just remember..all
of we shorties are envying you.

Wearing such high heels is not good for anyone... causes various health concerns .... And here I thought women were past all this artificial / materialistic BS... apparently I was wrong !!!

I think it's fine....

Just make sure you get insurance...

In case anyone gets a crick in the neck and sues you...

Or in case you fall over from a great height (4.5 inches)

Anything else just ask in your friendly and helpful Mingle forums :joy:🤣

A gal your size can wear anything you want.

Just be yourself. If you want to buy them and they make you feel good do so. Don't worry about everyone else.

Any job that has a dress code is obviously concerned with how their employees dress. I am sure wearing such high heel shoes would be fine for social wear, Jerry Hall once super model is over 6 feet tall, and she certainly never looked grotesque in high heels, you would look fabulous. Maybe, they would not be so kind to your feet wearing them at work all day, and not very practical, but only you can decide on that.

The shoes are always questionable but first the should be at least comfortable. If you wear not comfortable shoes then might risk your health or to broke your shoes. btw you can't fit in opinion of everyone for that how you looks with shoes simple because everyone have different point of view. There exist some shoew masters for repair who might help you for some little change.

They’ll look nice walking around one of the most expensive places in the world, Manhattan, New York.
It must be a huge place as every young pretty girl on Mingle lives there, apparently.

Personally I prefer to drive my Bentley around Mayfair, London and hobnob with the beau monde

Not that I’m bragging.

Are you looking for validation from women or men? I'm sure any woman would tell you that you look amazing in those heels, female empowerment, etc. But most guys will tell you that they couldn't care less about your heels. So, if you really DO want validation, ask the girls, don't ask guys.

Does a short man try to make himself look shorter? Does a broke man try to make himself look broker? Does a fat man try to make himself look fatter? Why would a freakishly tall woman wish to look even freakishly taller? Unless you are a dude perhaps?

I don't like the word grotesque, but you used that word. If you like the shoes and want to wear them, why not.

I resent being called freakish tall. There are a lot of top models taller that me, Ann Hickman 6'1', Karlie Kloss 6'2", Tiiu Kuik 6'2" and they all wear HEELS

I was thinking along these lines, lets cut to the case and find out what this job is the "requires high heels?" He/she commented on being called "freakish" but did not comment on the "dude" comment. For somebody to ask a question like this, especially the way things were stated it seems they are seeking attention, or trying to say they are better then others. Then to start comparing themselves to super models? Really? Sounds like maybe they should see a therapist about what shoes to wear instead of asking strangers online?

Perhaps she is just following a fashion, a lot of ladies do. "Vanity of vanities, all is vanity"
