yep, me thinks it's the 32 being middle age that is of more concern...
a bit off with the numbers. Besides TS just does this to get everybody worked up anyway.

It works, too. laugh

I love how when an older lady likes young men she is considered a 'cougar' but when a man likes a younger women....he belongs in prison? double-standard completely.

We have a whole entire topic dedicated to older women for younger men....no one is giving them grief.

I do understand what the OP is saying. Someone who is 35+ is looking to settle down right away...not all...but most. while the younger ladies don't mind 'living' first. Yes I know I'm not an 'older' man but when I am 40+ my taste may change....and they may not. I do not know. But I do understand what the OP is saying.

I'm 43 (I guess over the hill by your description) & the only reason I'd want to know if a man wanted marriage or kids with someone in the future is so I could stay away from them. I don't plan to ever marry again & refuse to have more kids. I'm very upfront & let a guy know that this isn't something I'm interested in & gives them the chance to move on towards someone they may later marry & have kids with. I'm only interested in men who doesn't want the whole marriage & kids bit! Better than wasting 6 months of a guys & my time time to find out he wants marriage & kids! So when a woman ask you about marriage & kids it may not be for the reasons you think! JMHO

I can't tell you how many times I've been on a first date with a woman over about 32 where she was asking me about my future plans on getting married before the food even arrived. What? I just met you. Don't you think we should get to know each other a little before we talk about that?

So much baggage, so much bullheadedness, so much bad attitude. They blame every problem in their lives on some man or on men in general. And seem to be looking for another man to solve them. I'm sick of it.

I never get that kind of BS from women in their late teens and early 20s. The young ones look better, are more fun and don't give me nearly as much grief. They don't nag or complain and they aren't looking for a man to replace the one that left them. Sure, there are a few maturity issues, but it's not nearly as bad as the crap I've dealt with from more mature women. In other words, it's worth the effort because the rewards are better.

This is so true. Plus the late teen women are impressed because you can buy beer.......smokin

Duuuuuuude ... there are SO many flags raised in the telling of this sordid little tale - especially that thing about preferring 'women in their late teens and early 20s'. I have to agree with the poster who said that, at at that age, they don't have their BS detector turned on. Besides, you're HOW OLD and looking for love with girls (and they ARE 'girls' - they're too young to be called 'women' at that age) barely out of puberty ... ? Sounds like a pathology to me, but hey, I'm no doctor - I just thought about playin' one on TV.

I'd have to think that your complaint about 'baggage' probably comes from not having successfully resolved your own. It's not up to anyone else to do that. Everyone walking this planet has 'baggage' - the trick is in how we handle it. 'Maturity issues' ... ? Yeah, I'd agree with that - but not about them.

Sorry, but I'll take what you demeaningly refer to as a 'mature woman' every day over one who's just starting down life's road. As for the 'rewards being better' ... that's just wrong on so many levels I'm not gonna address it. Ever hear the term 'age-appropriate' ... ? Guess not ...

All that being said, tho', you do have one very valid point, and that's the one about the 'jump start' to re-marriage - Look, that one will send me looking for the door as well ... been there, done that - ain't doin' it again. I really prefer having 'em bring it up early, tho', 'cuz then I can stop thinking there may be a chance for something to develop with that person. So yeah, we agree on that ...

Why bother sitting thru an entire meal, when you could be planning a date with someone who might actually put a ring on your finger?

laugh

I don't have an answer to your question, TS. It's in their DNA, maybe?

Men and women are just wired differently. In general, men want to date and sleep around, and women want to land a man and beat him into submission so they can control his every move. laugh

Like I said, it's in their DNA.laugh

I do find it disturbingly Pavlovian -- someone says "I'm not interested in _____________________" and people who fall into whatever the _____________________ category is, immediately decide to be offended as if the general remark referred specifically to them. Then they jump all over the OP as if he had killed an adorable little puppy.

Not everybody is going to be interested in you, whoever or whatever you are. That's reality. Deal with it.

Honestly if one does not want to date me due to age looks what every then hey that just eliminates the ones I have to deal with.

I say date whom ever makes you feel good to be with....

In reality most men that date younger women the older women actually would prefer for them to keep looking within that age range as well..for they do not interest them as well.

As far as the asking about marriage ect on the first few dates now come on that would send shivers up my spin and make me want to back away.

Last guy I went out with hell had me selling my house and moving and hell we had only had 3-4 dates. Ya don't think that did not make me spin around wonder WTF your wrong..... yeppiers he is gone that is too fast too soon...
