Read Atlas Shrugged, as well, and Anna Karenina.

My favorite book of all time is probably "A Walk in the Woods" by Bill Bryson.

Holy cow! Someone else read this book. This was a great book. I especially liked Katz. He was the star of the show.

I may just read it again now.

I read way too many books to keep them all but I kept that one and I have read it about 5 time. I love Katz.

Piers Anthony is one of my favourites. He wrote my favourite serious of books, the "Incarnations of Immortality" Brilliant series.

Tolkien, simply because he IS the quintessential story teller.

Stephen Ambrose and anything WW2 related that's non-fiction

Anything else historical

oh yeah, can't forget Calvin and Hobbesbigsmile

I prefer Anthem, when it comes to Ann Rand.

I love anything by Sherman Alexi.

Grendel by John Gardner is good.

Opps, forgot to list, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Robert A. Heinlein.

One of the books I'm currently reading is The Self-Aware Universe
by Amit Goswami.

Also ready historical mysteries, light mysteries, fantasy, and manga.

Oh, some might think it strange to suggest, but I highly recommend Tracy Lords' autobiography.

My favorite, all time, ever book is:
"Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand

One of my favorites, as well. I recently reread "We the Living," her first novel, which contains some of the seeds of the ideas that came out more fully in "Atlas."

My all-time favorite is the "Rabbit" series by John Updike. It doesn't hurt that Updike made an appearance on the Simpsons, and even mentioned Sideshow Bob in the fifth "Rabbit" story.

Right now I'm reading Nietzsche's "On the Genealogy of Morals" and Richard Dawkins' "The Ancestor's Tale."

I loooove to read books. There are so many books I love that its imposable to name just ONE good book. I've read everything by Dean Koontz (except his latest one) and a big fan of Richard Bachman (I know its Stephen King, but the Bachman books are fast paced and have so much blood shed). And anything by Terry Pratchett is good drinker

Mmm, I love to read, I just don't have as much time for it, anymore. I'm currently working my way through Confessor by Terry Goodkind. Fantastic work. But yeah, I prefer a faster pace to my books, so sometimes high fantasy gets a little to political for me. But I read on anyway :)

Read both 'The Kite Runner' & 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' over the summer-both excellent. Then Joyce Carol Oates' 'The Falls' (everything she writes is great). Last book I finished - 'Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance'- a classic. Now I'm reading the Harry Truman bio 'Plain Speaking'....I'm pretty much never without a book. Glad to know there are still other readers out there.

Love Grisham, too. Also read in 'binges' fiction, historical novels, bios, etc. Sometimes, I'll find an author & read everything (or almost)they've written one after another. ever read Greg Iles? If you like Grisham, you may like his stuff. too.

What's the old saying? It's better to keep quiet and let people think you're igorant, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt? Yea, that's it.
