My version of God is probably different than others. To me he is a higher power. I like the paraphrased verses, "God is love" and "God is a spirit". They work well with my Cherokee heritage of the great spirit and with my spiritual program that paraphrases as, "A loving God as he may express himself in our group conscience."

Maybe why they are looking they will find the gene for heterosexuality as well. It could aid in population control.

You got more patience than me, Creation. I can stand and I can be still but for 31/2. Heck, that is pretty good.

Since I have gotten older I have been taking it slower. The falls hurt worse and they don't heal up as fast. I like to look before I leap these days and since I live in the country I have found it best to watch where I step.

Sounds like the package deal to me with kids. You accept the woman with kids because it is a package deal. Without the kids you accept the woman you become part of the package therefore instead of the two separate "I"s you are a package of we when you and her are together.

Got to watch part of the game while at work the other night. The charge nurse was really into the game. I never got to see how it ended because I was washing wheelchairs.

Good points and I sorry to hear that she left. I was going to put in John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

That is why I am spiritual instead of religious. For others I guess God is a religion and that is why they worship him religiously.

I guess the wording and how the words are taken does make a difference.

2much4u,
In answer to your question at my spiritual meetings I attend we get what we call 'religious intolerance of spiritual principles' sometimes so the question you ask is valid. I never seen such an example of such as the other night. A fellow member who claims he is a preacher of the Hawaiian Cannibis Church said that he used to praise marijuana but put down other drugs. Most of the members laughed because most of us praised weed before going through rehabilitation.

She probably doesn't have the Linda syndrome, yet. Linda Syndrome is a phrase used largely within the pornography community to describe adult film stars who seek acceptance in society by repudiating their past career.

The term was coined by Hart Williams, who also refers to it as "Conversion Syndrome" or "Paul On The Road To Damascus."

Linda Syndrome is named after porn star Linda Lovelace (Linda Boreman) of the porn cult classic, Deep Throat, who began attacking the industry and espousing alleged wrongs against it via biographies and lectures. Boreman gave testimony to the 1986 U.S. Congressional hearings known as the Meese Commission on Pornography during the Ronald Reagan era.

With the publication of Ordeal in 1980, Boreman joined the feminist anti-pornography movement; at the press conference announcing Ordeal and making her charges against Traynor public, she was joined by supporters Andrea Dworkin, Catharine MacKinnon, Gloria Steinem, and members of Women Against Pornography. She spoke out against pornography, drawing from what she stated were her own experiences of coercion and abuse, for feminist groups, at colleges, and before government hearings on pornography, provoking an intense controversy over both her charges and her objections to the pornography industry as a whole. Pornographer and writer Hart Williams coined the term “Linda Syndrome” to refer to women who leave pornography and repudiate their past career by condemning the industry.

In 1986, Boreman published Out of Bondage, another memoir focusing on her life after 1974. She testified before the 1986 Attorney General's Commission on Pornography in New York City, stating that “When you see the movie Deep Throat, you are watching me being raped. It is a crime that movie is still showing; there was a gun to my head the entire time.” Following Boreman's testimony for the Meese Commission, Boreman gave lectures on college campuses and elsewhere, decrying what she described as callous and exploitative practices of the pornography industry.

Well, her sponsor found out and she admitted before the group that she lied. She was in tears, again but this time we hope she is serious about working her program. Luckily for her she has a tough sponsor. She said she was sorry for letting the group down but we assured her that she didn't let the group down but herself. She accepted the white key tag or what AA calls the 24 hour chip. We let her know that she has the same time as any of us have which is today.
