My local music store which allowed me to listen to used CD's before buying closed :(

This makes me very sad. So I was thinking about this this afternoon. So now I see a thread on music and my thought of this afternoon came to mind.

Is there anyone who also likes new age music--especially piano pieces?

I'm thinking of an artist(s) who have some variety in their music. Can anyone suggest some good artists? Doesn't have to be recent either. If you have links to samples that would be cool too. :)

The healthcare system in this country sucks. I don't want to get worked up about our HC system because it makes to too angry. It depressing compared to European HC system. Enough said.

I used to live near naturalist resort up in Oregon. It was okay. You could camp off grounds and use pool for small fee. No problem here. Skin is only on the outside as a covering...its the inside that matters.

I didn't get to post very often while I was in China, but I am home now. So what changes do I need to make to my profile? I'm still trying to get back up to speed here. So much to do--so little time.

socialist... just another fancy name for a lefty...they want the same things but word it differently...

But Sanders publically admits he is a Socialist and supports communism!

Where did he makes this statement that he supports communism? What is the source?

BTW, I've read many are encouraging Sanders to run.

The following is a true story.

When I lived in Oregon several years ago, a friend had a BBQ and invited some of his neighbors. We had just finished building a deck in back of his house--which was in the mountains. It was a scenic place.

On the railing, his wife put out some chips and other munchies while the grilling was in progress. Another friend which I also knew, was munching before the food was ready.

He mentioned to my buddies wife that this is (pointing to a bowl) good stuff. "Is this trail mix," he asked?

Why no its not, she responded!

"Its Kibbles and Bits".

My friend had a dog and someone had put the dog dish on the railing not thinking someone could grab a handfull.

This dude was red-faced and in shock as the others--including me--were LOAO! It was histerical. People were cracking up for several minutes not thinking someone could actually grab a hand-full of Kibbles and Bits--mistaking it for trail-mix.

I enjoy facebook too. It's instrumental in reconnecting me with long lost friends all over the globe, including relatives. Like all forms of technology, some people abuse it, and some people are only taken in by the negative.

Sadly, The chinese governement has a block on it here--along with twitter, and YouTube. I think you can guess why.

Nobody seems to have an answer for this. I really want to know. It's about public bathrooms.

Why would somebody wipe their rear end with toilet paper, then throw the ****-covered toilet paper on the floor instead of flushing it down the toilet? Part of my little Park host job is to keep the johns stocked, and I see a lot of this.

I feel relieved to know now that China is not the only place they do this. They call them "WC" which is short for washing closet. But instead of floor, they put it in the trash can. I have never used a public WC at any time I've been here, but its the kids at school who tend to use trashcan instead of flushing it. This cluture is in despert need of health education.

How can we know that certain member is not a scam? is there a way to trace if they are real or fake?

I am in that business, actually, tracing and tracking down scammy people as commissioned by their prospective future lovers.

Please end a cheque for ten thousand dollars, and a valid Pilipino passport, and I will find out for you if your boyfriend is who he says he is, or if he exists even in the first place.

You'd be a millionaire if you had a business like that here in China. There are more "scammy" people here (at least where I'm at) then fingers or toes combined.

Unless I was really interested in visiting that other country anyway, regardless of whether the relationship worked out or not - NO.

It doesn't matter for how long you chat to someone on-line, or how honest and accurate their profile is, you don't 'know' them until you've spent a lot of physical time together.

Hmmmm, (he said). Maybe 6400 miles from nowhere ain't to shabby a deal after all : )

I guess this is an approiate forum to post this. Got a call yesterday that I have a teaching job in China. So now I am scrambling to get things in storage to leave here on 29th. This is a major life change for me since I have not had to put stuff in storage before. Overnighted passport to travel agency for Visa application process via Consulate. So I am kinda set. Just need to get stuff into storage and sell the car. May try to say hello when I get there. But no jobs here. What is someone to do? Live on the street? I'm going to Shenyang if anyone is curious which city I'll be in. Let me know when the economy gets better. I may consider returning.

You're cut off, s1owhand. If you're going to post horrible hip-hop(y) stuff at least make it from the 80's or 90's. I've stabbed myself in the ear four or five times now.

There was no better time for good music than the 80's. Absolutely 80's!!! I know. I played it on-air.

Especially this tune. But I'm not telling what it is (its a surprise).

It looks like I'm leaving July 28 to take up another teaching job--for obvious reasons. Waiting for Visa to be sent back. Just curious if this site has connections there. I'll be in Shenyang.

Not sure how anyone is on Chinese songs, but I have a favorite. Many in China know about DengLiJun (aka Teresa Teng). She was very big there. Sadly she is not around--either from a car accident, or a health related matter. I'm not sure whcih is true. But I thought I would take a chance and share this to see what people here thought. I prefer studio version of this song, but still nice melody.

Marriage is a cultural thing that women are taught from day one is the sole purpose of their lives.

Okay...I'm getting a better understanding now. Cultural? Makes sense to me.

A woman wants to be claimed, generally speaking. She wants a man to claim her publicly. Letting everyone know that she is his, he wants her exclusively. A wedding validates her with his friends, family and friends.

You can do things that help her feel the same thing by holding her hand in public or placing your arm around her in public. Walking street side when you are walking down the street. Etc... Stuff like that.

I have read that when a man truly loves a woman he will proclaim, protect and provide. He will proclaim her as his to whoever will listen, he will protect her from anything he sees as a threat to her and he will want to provide for her.

Reading the first part of these responnses, I was begining to get a bit worried. Really did want to ask serious question. To me, this seems to be most philosophical defination posted. Could be academic too. Thanks. Claimed? hmmmmmmm? Is this coming from an academic theory, or a pragmatic theory/concept? Is there an insecurity issue at stake if they are not married?
