My guardian was a red head. Meanest woman I ever met. My late husband was a red head and probably the most mentally tough no nonsense but gentle person you would ever meet. Hell had no furry to match him if he saw someone abuseing a child or one of his soldiers though.

If these children are sheltered,fed, supervised, and not being abused it is highly unlikely that CPS is going to do anything with so many children in the USA living below that standard.

While I don't think that is really a great option it is surely better than forceing the children into seperate foster placements and possible the parents into jail. It is unlikely that they will give up the children without a fight.

If you are really worried about their saftey then provide them a battery operated smoke and CO2 detector. Sadley some campers do have "issues" when they are used for winter houseing.
