People who think good conversation is whineing and gossiping about others.

Wanted to remind all the parent's to get on the stick and get their kids signed up for some of the Special Need's Kids camps. Call your local Parks and Recreation and see what kind of programs they are going to offer. THey have to follow the EQAL/APPROPRIATE/Least Restrictive Law like other places.

BZMom have you talked to Habitat for Humanity about building you and accessible home to address your kids' special needs? I would think a lot of Mingle people would show up to do a weekend build.

HAVE A BEDTIME ROUTINE
Two hours before bed:
Have Camomile tea,or warm milk, and a bannana, or nibble a little turkey, or a cup of oat cereal for a bedtime snack.

Floss & Brush your teeth with a mild flavor paste. Use and alcohol free mouthwash.

Take your night-time medications.

Collect what you will need for the next morning if you plan to leave the house.

An hour before bed:

Turn off the computer and TV and lower the lights. If you have a soothing CD turn it on low.

Take off your day time garments and put on comfortable night clothes or a robe to prevent being cold.

Brush your hair slowly and gently.
Massage your hands and feet with lavendar lotion.

If you have LED lights or instant-on unplug the lights because some background noises still tend to alert the brain.

If you need a darker room and exterior lights light up your room install room darkening shades. Shower curtains or blankets are cheap alternatives and also insulate out noise and drafts.

If you are feeling jittery late at night it is possible you have to be more dilligent about changeing the air filters on your furnace/AC and when it kicks on it pumps dust and allergins into your home.

Replaceing your pillows annually and bagging your mattress can also reduce allergens which will make you feel restless.

The other is it can take up to 18 hours for caffine to clear your system. It is really tough getting it out of your system but it can greatly reduce the quality of your sleep.

As can be being over weight. Which tends to make apnea worse. And back pain.

Under treated Depression is a major reason for poor sleep.

 If you fell in love with someone who was allergic to your pet(s), would you get rid of your pet(s)?

If I really loved someone sure. It is no joke to be miserable from and allergy all the time. I would just dump my pet anywhere but if I needed to find it a home to make family healthy I would. My son was allergic and my Grandson's are. I can't believe my daughter-in-law drags a stray cat in as fast as the last one runs away. Medications have a lot of side effects. So does the chronic colds, sinus infections, ear aches, and respiratory problems.

That's always been my line. Not that many minster to the minister. That is the problem with being the strong one. If you need comfort it scares the people who expect you to keep it together.

I pamper my car baby's and so far they are doing pretty well. I tend to swear at the crazy drivers that scare the heck out of me.

To me regret is for people who ignore what they thought was right at the time. I can't say I ever did that in a relationship so I don't have a lot that I regret. Since I see love as something that flows through my life and isn't held in the heart it doesn't really matter if my heart gets broken. I would prefer love and happiness but even heartache is preferable to feeling nothing.

Other than not telling them what their Christmas or Birthday gift is, I can't think of anything. There are times I might be afraid of hurting their feelings and be hesitant to say something, but honesty wins out every time. Using tact and finding a gentle way of saying things helps.

Well said. ^5
