Has we get older we learn to draw back on our previous experiences and try not to make the same mistakes. You have heard the term many times young and...... So youth definatly has it's advantages age and the experience are much better in my perspective Bag of potato sticks, I have seen in again and again, older men still make the same, old mistakes. I've personally seen it. I've seen excuses deep in age, if that makes sense. Younger men, fresher thinking. Older guys, give me a break, they started those excuses as young men. Some have learned, others are older a@@s. Just stating my observations. |

Growing older is a privilege for many but along with age comes physical issues which are not wonderful, graceful. It's part of getting older. I can tell you about some older guys and older women. You work with what you have and always make the best. I still don't want an older man. Generational mind set. If your mind is sharp, you're ambulatory and get breathe well and have no pain, then you are truly blessed. That's life. Look in the hospitals. Celebrate life, it's a gift. Define old.... That being said ... I know I'm like a good wine that gets better with age That is a good outlook. I like that. I also have often said that I fully intend to age beautifully, and with grace. |

Hahhah! Like when they are young, everyone is different. Some old coots think they are wanted because younger females think they have more stability and they think they can play on it. They don't look at the fact that their bodies have wrinkled, they have lost their muscle tissue, and Viagra won't be the answer. I'm a nurse and have seen what they look like unclothed. If you grow old together, wonderful. Love is great. Otherwise, ugh.

Yes I'm going to be home alone for Christmas. Couldn't be happier about it. I hate family holidays. I think it's because I'm damn near 40 and I have no family to bring. It's about as depressing as it comes, spending time with family around the end of December. Then I get to spend New Years alone as well, isn't that grand. Of course that's nothing new, I've spent every New Year alone, so I should be able to handle that. I just wish every other person on this planet would stop reminding me that I'm spending the holiday by myself. I mean it's not exactly a bad thing. It's quiet, I don't have to clean up any wrapping paper, no extra dishes to do, I didn't have to wake at 4 AM just to put a turkey in the oven. I don't know why I hadn't spent Christmas alone before. Maybe I'll make it my new holiday tradition!! That's definitely o.k. Always know that you're not the only person in this world to be that way and to feel that way. People are ignorant and find pleasure in asking you what you're doing and you know what? Tell them that you're flying to Paris or..or..it's going to be a good time. No need to elaborate. I see them always and they want to hear something because they have nothing interesting going on in their lives and misery loves company. You won't give them company. Love comes your way,

Like some said be more concerned where the smell is actually coming from first. See if you can figure where the smell is actually coming from check behind furniture see if you see any mold on the walls most likely close to the base boards first. Under window sills maybe leaking or ceiling leaks or it could be your carpet. Once you find the source make the apartment manager aware of the issues and see if they will in fact correct it promptly. Mold is a very serious issue and can make one get very sick matter of fact you can get the spores within your lungs by breathing it in. This is not and issue I would just cover up but indeed want to find the problem instead. If the apartments do not fix the issue I would in fact turn it in to the health department. They will in fact have someone come out that is very knowledgeable in the field of mold and make sure it is corrected for that is more dangerous then you actually think it is. Thanks so much. This RN is so aware though I don't know everything, for sure. I can't defend it. It's not to that extent that some folks imagine (and I don't own a carpet and clean nooks and crannies as I don't like filth. I understand the point but it won't be solved now. It's minimal. My point was not to bring that out. My point is that a nice scent around the apt. is pleasant to ease certain situations. Certain things cannot be changed until water leakage is apparent, as I took care of that in another place. I take things seriously. I advised someone about her situation and to make it known to the right party to help. When issues need to be explored, I do so. My post is about a nice thing I found. It's winter and windows stay closed here. Thanks again!

as they say " something is rotten in Denmark" odors are there for a specfic reason ...cover ups are just that... your treating the symptoms not the cause.... its your health that may just be at stake... Thanks for what you said. There's a reason behind every behavior, you know. As I said above, I won't be here forever. If everything was to change, the entire complex would be torn down. When it's time, it'll be time to go. Not now, not unbreathable now. Mild now. Thanks!

I would be concerned about mold..that smell comes from something! You're right. It's a recent occurence, there's no moisture to feel, but I won't be here forever. A lady in another building told me of a real problem that's unhealthy. Wet stuff was coming through the walls onto her husband's clothes and it's white spots. Ugh, gross. These buildings are old and need serious repair. |
