I wish we had some wild monkeys here...China and India get to have all the monkey fun...

sorry, but you missed out on all of the fun...

about 25-30 years ago, there was a private animal collector in south texas that had some monkeys escape, and they started breeding to the point where they were becoming a nuisance animal, and I think texas hunters were allowed to hunt them under nuisance laws, like we do wild hogs.

they built a new free ranging monkey habitat down there, though, and rounded most of them up,so I don't think that you are allowed to hunt them anymore.

. Why would someone want to kill a monkey?

Did you know farmed salmon has color added to it?

I just found out today.
Naturally, it is a light grey.

frustrated

I suspect they try to imitate the naturally colored wild-caught and/or red sockeye salmon. whoa

"Color added" on a label for salmon and salmon products means that the salmon were given a feed which contains a pigment called astaxanthin. When the feed is digested, the astaxanthin is absorbed into the fish's flesh giving the fillets or steaks a reddish or 'salmon' color."

what's wrong with people?? I could care less what color a fish is, why do they? Everything we eat has some kind of chemical additive added to it, no wonder why the world is so messed up...

There is nothing wrong with me for pointing out what some people may not know.

I like knowing if something has been altered from its natural state. What is wrong with people that don't want to know about their food?

I wasn't talking about you, unless it was your idea to change fish color with chemicals for no apparent reason...

China has some really weird stuff. In the rice paddies water buffalo are the beast of burden. One day I saw a camel out there... a camel.. I just stood there and thought.. where the hell did this guy get a camel.
I think China has wild horses and camels that live in the Gobi desert

To all you millennials. Nothing is entitled to any person. In this country the united States of America. When u work hard god rewards you in time. There is no 6th place. Socialism doesn't work
they don't have to work, they get participation ribbons...they were taught at a young age that trying, winning and working hard doesn't matter...

Ya know, all of you are looking at this one sided...welfare fraud isn't just the consumers, it's also the store owners as well, where the bigger frauds take place... For all you deniers out there, a simple Google search will show this

Seems that the most potential for fraud is in "Republican states" as well... as you said, a simple Google search shows it

"WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican leaders have spent months promoting the myth that red low-tax states are subsidizing blue high-tax states because of the deduction for state and local taxes.

An Associated Press Fact Check finds it’s actually the other way around. High-tax, traditionally Democratic states (blue), subsidize low-tax, traditionally Republican states (red) — in a big way."

https://www.apnews.com/2f83c72de1bd440d92cdbc0d3b6bc08c

It simply goes back to the original premise of this thread, that the "lazy left" is a misnomer, the blue states are shouldering the tax burden of lazy Trump supporters... Let me guess, "fake news", right?
may not be fake, but it's not being interpreted very well...NYC and LA have a bigger population then the states of Mis.and Alabama, and both cities have lots of work to get, unlike most of the southern states except Texas... So, that actually makes sense...

no on has denied fraud exists. the debate is whether the degree of fraud justifies treating all recipients as lazy and 'undeserving' of the little help it provides by overhauling the whole system to one which treats recipients as mere slaves to the taxpayers will of what things they should be able to purchase or eat or own.

then they should get a job... If we want something, we have to earn it, not have it given to us....nobody is a slave, but if you think you are, then I guess you are...if people don't like FREE, GOVERNMENT HANDOUTS, then maybe welfare isn't for those folks...

Saw this recently, thought it would make for an interesting topic of discussion here:

He had a domineering father and learned at an early age that you either dominate and win, or you lose. He became immature and impatient with a short attention span and little attention for details. He freely told lies and came to believe most of them himself. He eventually lived in a fantasy world and lost his grip on reality. In spite of all this he attained success, in large part due to his bravado and showmanship. He even acquired a fabulous retreat in one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Through his oratory capabilities and theatrics he was able to mesmerize his base. He promised to champion the middle class and put the unemployed back to work. Making numerous promises that he had no intention of keeping, he was voted into political power largely by protest votes against established politicians. He became the leader of his country. He abrogated treaties and convinced his people that he was the only one who could lead their country back to its rightful place of glory. After denying he would do so he sent troops into foreign lands. He often didn't take advice from his closest advisers. In fact, although he surrounded himself with high ranking military officers, he seldom took their advice, believing and saying that he was smarter than the generals. He believed that legislators were there only to do his bidding. He took refuge in those few who were still loyal and told him what he wanted to hear. Who am I talking about?

Why, Adolph Hitler of course. Who did you think?
sounded just like Obama to me .

Obama never said he was smarter than the generals and his dad was not around to teach him that winner or loser nonsense. He also never said he was the only one who could lead. So the profile doesnt fit if you read it all.

lol...you don't know if Obama said any of those things or not, and wasn't his dad in his life during his African muslim schooling?

I think when all those refugees came in to Canada, where did they all go, had to be the west, if they stayed in Quebec they would have to speak French to have a job etc.

and most would not want to learn a new lang so guess where they did not stay.

just a good guess.
I thought it was a law that English and French are the official languages there?

English and French are the two official languages in Canada..HOWEVER.. French is mainly only spoken within the Province of Quebec and in some Maritime areas, and very little out in Western Canada where there are a few ‘pockets’ of French communities
English is spoken exclusively throughout Canada -except pockets in Quebec..
It is not the law that everyone needs to know both...
Here out west (BC,Alberta,Saskatchewan,Manitoba,etc...) it’s pretty much all Anglais...
The Quebec French is different from the France French....
Ahhhh history!

thank you...the only reason I knew anything of it was the movie "Canadian bacon", where John Candy was driving a bus to Quebec with derogatory Canadian slurs spray painted in English, and Dan ackroyd played a Canadian cop who pulls them over and makes them spray paint everything in French as well, saying it was the law....

Environmental factors determine the sex of embryotic crocodiles while in the eggs...all eggs start as females, but if it gets too warm, they will all change to males, and if it warmer again, they change back to females...

Curious ladies:

If you had to pick ( just outright pick) a geek or a non geek man with a brain.. which would it be

just pure pick.. one or the other, which would it be.

For me it would all depend on the personality of the guy and if there was a connection.. geek or non geek if the connection is not there it ain't gonna happen....

But yea I would take a geek before I went with one that was dumb as a stump .... gotta be able to carry a conversation for me~~~ whoa

I understand that, nobody wants a dope.. nobody. Male or female. But there is no shortage of non geeks with a brain. I guess it just comes down to choice. Geeks have their own lifestyle ( and I am not saying that's wrong) some are attracted to that, some not.
I don't mind stupid women...I could totally hang out with Jessica Simpson...

Refugees have NOTHING to do with it
