Yes, but many of those people have accounts on more than one site. And many of those people have multiple accounts on one or more sites. And many people make accounts for their pets, furniture, potted plants, ten-speed bicycles, etc. So there are a lot of accounts out there, and each one has a profile.

A trillion profiles is a lot.

And I still have hopes that, one day, I will run across a profile that doesn't read as if a cat had just randomly walked across a keyboard....

There are at least 15,992. And those are just the ones I've tried.

The best -- the intellect, the sheer creativity, the feeling that we had so much in common in terms of interests and goals and sense of humor....sharing our projects with each other -- she created the covers for my first two books...I guess it was just the idea that I had someone who actually understood me, someone who wasn't going to try to change me.

The worst -- she has never been able to stick to a commitment.

OK, now it's back to normal again. Wonder what that was about?

Just noticed my "People you might be interested in" is suddenly showing people from everywhere, even the Philippines. This never happened before -- it's always shown locals, corresponding to my search settings. I checked my search settings, those haven't changed, and when I do a normal search there, I only get locals, as usual. So it looks like it's just "People you might be interested in" that's out of whack.

My plan is to keep on writing until I become egregiously wealthy and even harder to get along with.

And I'm fortunate enough to have absolutely nothing in my life that would distract me from this!

People in my family tend to live well into their 90s unless they smoke, in which case they die at 60. I don't smoke, so I may be around awhile.

I'd like to get to know a little bit about the person and about what they're looking for. Rarely works that way, though.
