So the point I guess im trying to get across and confirm in my head is that people will always pre judge you because of basic instinct and no matter what they think when they say "I just want a nice guy/girl" Really what they are saying is I want someone who is attractive, then I'll care about the other stuff, again just my opinion

i would say that most women, and probably most men as well, want to date someone who doesn't treat them like sh!t and to whom they are attracted.

i don't think that is so remarkable.

why? would YOU date someone who you thought was ugly?

The world is visual either TV, PC, Magazine and most everything we do is by looking at it so I guess it is just inbred instinct that makes us judge on looks first and also most are afraid of others opinion and would rather that people see them with a beautiful person than an ugly one.

I judge by looks first, then personality, then socially. If it all doesn't fit, then I dont commit.

But yes, looks matter to me. But what I may be attracted to, isn't what someone else may be attracted to. So it doesn't matter really. *shrugs*

I don't judge by looks. I think it's definitely what's on the inside that counts! flowerforyou

This conversation goes on 2 or 3 times a week.. sometimes 2 or 3 times a day.

We are not knocking "nice guys", but listening to someone complain over and over because they can't get a date gets old. I'm i a nice guy.. perhaps, but on the same token i won't base it on wiether i get a date or not.

@ the OP: human nature draws us to what we find attractive. You can't wear a button that says "nice guy over here". So yes looks generally get you in the door, what you do from there is what matters.

Sorry but it's human nature.

I just don't see why honesty can't come into the picture right away, or at least telling the person, if you aren't interested in them and you read the things they had to say let them know, I guess thats the real thing im saying here... for instance when a user messages me I take the time to read what they had to say, if they said something around the lines of I think you are cute and fun, I would at least reply with a thank you and talk with them, who says that everything on this site has to be about dating, really I just dont understand why people can't connect with someone rather than just look at their profile and say oh... ugly click *Delete*

Nope. As usual, someone is being shallow themselves here, and only looking at the physical aspects.

There is a plethora of what attracts me to another. Their physical appearance is just one of them, and honestly, it's not at the top of the list.

I have no problem admitting it. Of COURSE I'm attracted to a hot babe. However, what I may deem as "hot" may not necessarily coincide with what another man may think is "hot".

Do looks matter? Abso-frickin'-lutely! It's obvious that physical attraction is ALWAYS the first thing that quite literally catches your eye about someone that sparks the interest. You show me somebody who says that looks don't matter when selecting a potential mate, and I'll show you a liar.

i mean how do you have sex? If your not attracted how enjoyable can that be? I think this question is nonsense and everyone wants someone they find attractive.

Hi Pat! Good to see ya on here tonight!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, true...but tell me how many "hot" people you've met who were total jerks and seemed ugly afterwards?

It's all a matter of personal choice, I know, but why should people knock those who want to get to know others for what's on the inside? Beauty fades, personality lasts forever. :o)
