The four lines:
Mary had a little lamb
It's fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go.

were the first four lines of recorded speech. They are the words uttered by Thomas Edison into his new invention -- the phonograph.

The rhyme itself was written by Sarah Josepha in 1830 based upon a real incedent that happened at a schoolhouse.

boo actually the moment of silence is for prayers to anything or just a moment to take a breath before the beginning of the day

as far as prayers outside the home...let's say something happens at school and a students feels the need to pray (not out loud or anything) but if something happened to a student and the child wants to pray for them to themselves...how is this a problem?

Who said that was a problem, I don't have a problem with a kid saying a silent prayer to whomever. This is about teaching my kid, not about restricting the kid from praying silently if he or she felt the need.

I prayed silently when I went to public school one year. I prayed to go home sooner.. grin

How many places do we need?

some religions require them to ALWAYS be worshipping. I don't feel that anyone gets to pick and choose for them when or where is appropriate.

a lot of it I don't get either, but we either have complete religious freedom or we don't.

We would have complete religious freedom, just not where others have to be exposed to it.

We have sexual freedom but not the freedom to expose others to our sex with someone, is that not correct. So should we have complete sexual freedom? Do it anywhere? I think we can take freedom too far just as we can take the lack of it too far.

I hope parents realize how their actions and beliefs really affect their children and their effect on their children.

but we don't have sexual freedom. otherwise the gay marriage thing wouldn't be an issue

so it's a fine line between freedom of religion conflicting with freedom from religion

Star light, star bright,
First star I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have the wish I wish tonight.

Someone will find this to be of a religious nature.

I don't see anything religious about it, no mention of god or angels or anything. Nature is all I see, we used to do that one.

You did a fine job of avoiding the question. Even if it were legal for gays to marry we still could not have sex where ever we wanted, nor can you and it's a good thing.

So we do not have complete sexual freedom, nor should we have complete freedom to do whatever we want where ever we want, hell we don't now.

Kaabah: Arabian star worshippers around the time of Mohamed

The Kaabah is a fallen star in Mecca

while you and I Boo, wouldn't have thought this had any religious reference to it, Quiet shows us differently.

Absolutely but if it's everywhere in religions and philolsophy etc, then it would be hard for anyone to sue about it.. no? well I guess the could be difficult to win I would think. I think that one would be a bit silly to sue over because it would not be about a specific religion..
