It's 12.21.2012...not the 12th. All it will be is the beginning of a new b'ak'tun according to Mayan ideology, there is no "end of it all" prediction...the Mayan calendar simply doesn't continue after that date, nothing more, nothing less.

I never even knew that date was thought to be the end of the world. I saw the preview to the movie. I thought it was just a movie. Then I heard about the theory. Honestly, I don't believe it. If the world wants to end now, it will end now. If it wants to continue doing its thing, it will continue doing its thing. There is no set date on when the world will end. But hey, that's my opinion.

we were all supposed to die in 06-06-2006 too... All it is pretty much is fear mongering, no one knows what the date is...all it is really is just another day. The Mayans predicted nothing, but a lot of people claim they predicted the end because their calendar doesn't continue after December 21st...of course as this thread shows, a lot of people just seem to pick up dates regardless of significance. |
