bottom line is knowledge itself isn't of Satan, it's the actions done with that knowledge that is sometimes of Satan.

I think Satans contribution is convincing people that they are 'all knowledgable',,,,not actually giving them the knowledge

Satan's gave Man the desire to seek knowledge and become all knowledgable like God..

or he persuaded them to be knowledge gluttons, or to know it ALL

you mean like God is a know it all? ....

No that is God's way of washing out the nasty discusting people out of the world. The only outcome of sin is death.

Here we go with wishing death on people again. Damn.

Anyway, if I were to create a religion that I thought was a good control on people, I sure wouldn't want them getting too much knowledge that would show my religion as erroneous so I would definitely make a knowledge tree that caused death for those who ate from it.

Knowledge as everything in life comes with self responsibility, as long as you can keep yourself from knowing all that you should by hindering this knowledge with religion you don't have to be self responsible. Not being self responsible makes life seem much easier, like children, someone else will take care of me.

but we are responsible. We are responsible for every thing we do, we are responsible for every word we speak, we are responsible for everything. We wil be judged accordingly.

You are not responsible for yourself if you believe in entities that influence you to do right or wrong.

Nice try though.

that's just being influenced lol. Someone influences you to rob a bank and you get caught you are still responsible and receive the punishment, same goes with God.

2 Peter 1:5 ... And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge.

knowledge is no sin,, but the type of knowledge can be a pathway to heaven or an obstruction to it

God gave us the brain with which to think and evolve and learn,,,,what satan does is TWIST knowledge to confuse and distract

exactly, again it's not the knowledge itself that's sinful, it's the actions done with that knowledge.

This is where most anti-Christs get the Christian religion wrong...
Everyone is encouraged to gain their own knowledge and not be led blindly by others. They think Christians are sheep, led by others when in fact, they are encouraged to seek knowledge and not allow anyone else to control or influence their minds....

MsHarmony...and that is the point of the thread....the desire to obtain knowledge is due to Satan because Eve wanted to be like God .....and all those that seek knowledge beyond what was granted in the garden of Eden do so because of the grace of Satan

Satan was all about education ...this includes anyone that went to school is in school send their children to school tell others that they need to go to school or press that people be educated is all due to Satan

I didn't mention God ...I asked if the knowledge to flood the world and drown everyone on it be the action of Satan? ...it's a simple yes or no question ...or at least I thought it was

Peter_Pan ..Christians are supposed to have faith in God and not seek knowledge beyond the Christian belief and to live their life within the Christian belief because to do otherwise is to desire the realm of Satan

How do you gather that? The tree of life gave not just knowledge of this world, but detailed knowledge of heaven, God's plan, everything. The knowledge we seek on earth will remain here, there is no knowledge here on earth that will give us great knowledge of heaven other then what is in the bible, and asking God for answeres. What i'm trying to say is there is no knowledge of, in, or around for this world that will give any answeres to those of which the tree gave. You also have to keep in mind this tree, adam, and eve was in the Garden of eadan, that doesn't specicifically have to be on this earth which we reside in now.

Cowboy...and as I told you before, the question was not about God, so why hide behind him everytime you get asked an uneasy question ...the question is about the knowledge granted by Satan ...did Satan grant God this knowledge ...if not then why would you include God

so let's try it again for the third time...if the knowledge to flood the world and drown everyone is used then does the use of such knowledge falls into the realm of the actions of Satan?

Adam and Eve would probably say the same things you are saying but only after they ate from the fruit because then they would have the knowledge to say such things....

and that was the lesson you were supposed to take from the story...that Adam and Eve's fall from the Garden of Eden was because they sought knowledge beyond the scope of what God had granted them because Eve wanted to be like God

this is why those that seek knowledge beyond the scope of the bible are once again doing the same as Adam and Eve and trying to be like God by accumlating knowledge but are actually in the grace of Satan...
