For those that feel clothes don't matter and what's inside counts more, I half agree. But, if the wrapping is bad, no one's going to be looking inside.

I found a couple of articles about it I thought might add to the discussion.

I think he does the casual thing pretty well, but he looks a little uncomfortable in the suits. And, that's NOT how you wear a bow tie.

And the preppy look is still alive and well.

That's an overgrown "MURSE"

Oh the horror! noway

A man may need a bag large enough to carry his lap top in. I used to carry one, when I had a laptop.

The way I see it is everyone thoughts on what is Stylish is different. What is Stylish to one may not be to the next person.

To me as long as what you wear is what you like and feel good in then it is no one else place to say your out of style or you don't have a sense of style.

Sure many think I need to get in style more. But the way I see it I wear what makes me feel good and what I know looks good on me and that is all that matters to me.

About the only thing that bothers me about others is wrinkled clothes or things that are too small for them.

Sure I notice those that look classy in what they are wearing. But then I also notice those that try to wear some of the styles that just don't do them any justice.

But in the long run who is to say who dresses Stylish and does not. Hell most of the time some of the Styles that come out I would not be caught dead in them.....noway

The way I see it if I want to wear jogging pants in the winter I will. I don't worry what others think about what I wear.

As long as I feel good in what I wear is all that matters to me..... bigsmile

That sounds really shallow. Probably a lot of truth to it, though!

The psychology today article was insightful and well written.
One comment from that article rings true is "Fashion is clothes and Style is character"

Not me!

I am the drab down and blend in type. Fits very well with my shy and reclusive nature.

yes, I love good clothing, and will update my wardrobe mainly with classics and a few trendy items blended in. When I moved I had the horrible expereince of having to adjust to having only one bedroom closet!

I am a label girl and admit it with pride. I have fav designers and design houses (yes there's a difference). I love shoes and nice jackets and good taste. Nothing makes me wince more than stripes worn with plaids, or an unironed dress shirt on a man.

I am the kind of woman who will wear make up & lace socks with hiking boots on a camping trip (Holiday Inn, anyone?)flowerforyou

OK, I can't take much more - the one on top whomever he is needs to get rid of the hat - completely, and the "sack" or whatever that thing is. His belt should be black leather rather than tan or brown.

The one on the bottom is in pretty good shape but his boutoneir or his tie should have some color for the outfit to ne more effectiveflowerforyou
