I don't worry about my weight at all because I can eat whatever I want without gaining any weight :D. But even if I did I wouldn't be able to stop eating the things I like cause I love food~

Why do women worry about their weight? Are you crazy? Every TV show you watch, every magazine you read all have pics of thin people. Its want sells. So women are lead to believe that in order to be accepted you must be thin.

While i applaud you for appreciating the person more than the appearance, not all men are like that. How many men can HONESTLY say that if shown a line up of women of varying sizes with no faces shown would actually pick the fat girl as the one he wants to get to know. I speak this from experience. I am a big girl and i know this. I have met men online and had great conversations on the phone and really clicked, but after meeting in person i never hear from them again. Now i know i don't have rotten table manners so you tell me what made them not want to talk again. Im betting it was my physical appearance.

Sorry i went off on a little tear there.

To answer the original question, women worry about their weight because we are taught from a young age that you must be thin in order to fit in and be accepted. Sad fact is that it should not be that way.

You know what. If you meet someone and make a connection and they are not exactly Barbie or Ken, why change them? I like Ladies with curves myself.

@ Drgnflychaser, in my case i like big stocky fit guys so in order to get that, i feel like i should be somewhat fit...one can not ask for a Prince looking like a frog (in my case that is) flowerforyou

Also physical attraction has a lot to do with the relationship! i have talked to guys on the phone and chatted online and really liked their personality but once we met the physical attraction just wasn't there and i only saw them as friends...

I will share your tear...

Well, it’s amazing. The miracle has been done. Hat’s off. Well done, as we know that “hard work always pays off”, after a long struggle with sincere effort it’s done.

Well I've never worried about my weight. For awhile I was at arourd 170lbs, then deppression hit really hard and I went down under 120lbs. Now with a better diet and good excercise daily, I'm around 130lbs and feeling way better then I have in a very long time. I used to let what others thought get to me but that just sucked more life out of me and at my lowest point, I didn't even like looking at myself. Now I'm happier and getting healthier and that's all that really matters.

I have to laugh when men ask me if I'm the "type" that goes out and picks at my food. I've never picked at a plate of food in my life!
Especially when dessert comes around

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin.

Really?? this thread hit a lot of nerves.

I have been to fat and to thin and neither feels good or is healthy. The ticket is to love yourself as you are and work to change what makes YOU unhappy.

Only your own opinion matters.

i Hear so many times Ladys say i can't eat that its to fattening or i need to lose some weight don't you think? and i talking about some ladys that were even really thin worrying about that now me myself i love women that has something to hug i bet alot of guys would say the same thing you ladys worry way to much about weight but curious why??????? i mean in my books most look just great .i think ladys worry way to much:)so stop the worrying and know that us guys like you for you:banana:  waving

Me stopped worrying about my weight when weight started worrying about me.laugh

Kidding aside, my being used to be in great shape didn't protect me from any heartache. I don't think my being a biggie now would do too. But what difference would it make? My take on this for any man... what you see is what you get, take it or leave it:tongue: This is me. Let me worry about something more productive.

Thats awesome i like that answer you care about what you feed your body ,well you seem to be doing a great job cause you look in great shape my friend hugsssssss cheersflowerforyou

I suspect most have forgotten what fresh food tastes like, and caught in the 'processed food trap'...and being where I am in Australia...I have an abundance of fresh local food every day...we are a small coastal isolated town, so no takeaway foods as such...umm a couple of cafes, and a bar and grill is all, and they grow tedious after 25 yearslaugh ...the positive is that we HAVE to cook for ourselves, so develop a very grassroots real desire for healthful food.

we are one of the gateways to the barrier reef, so have an abundance of fresh seafood...we have 330 growing days a year...(subtropical climate)..have beef cattle within a 50 mile radius...it's a land-rich area here, so people can grow their own food.

I guess it would be very different in a city or large town, for many.

"I suspect most have forgotten what fresh food tastes like, and caught in the 'processed food trap'..."

I RARELY post in the forums , but wanted to respond to your post,

Jess....

what you posted above is SO TRUE.

Futhermore, Processed foods create inflamation and puffiness and

bloating,

and also tends to increase a craving for the VERY foods that are

creating the problem .

Processed food is actually dead food, because all the natural

enzymes have been depleted...

and therefore can't provide any real nourishment to the cells

of the body.

As a result, this creates an ongoing hunger because the cells

are starved for real nutrition...

and thus this leads to overeating.

But when one replaces processed foods with natural foods ,

the body will no longer crave junk food .

Eating Healhty wholesome foods eventually creates a desire FOR

healthy wholesome natural foods,

and a complete loss of desire for processed foods .

Just my 2 cents.flowerforyou
..........

(Btw, also agree with what Kern shared above.}flowerforyou

You are so lucky.I worry about weight all the time. I just finished doing a four day detox where I did not have any solid food and lost 5 pounds but still hate the way I look. I seriously feel like throwing up. Damn its so hard to lose weight when you age.

That is so true. Here has been my problem. Cravings and addictions to carbs and processed foods etc.

I KNOW exactly what I should eat but I crave the things I should not eat.

Recently I stumbled upon the right nutritional supplement that seems to have solved my problems inside of one week! It is not well known for some reason and may not be for everybody. Its called 5-HTP.

I have been taking two per day along with B vitamins, multivitamins, etc. But I have had and tried all those vitamins before and they did nothing. Now all that has changed.

I used to be either hungry, craving something, or feeling bloated from eating too much and from eating it too fast. Now I feel 'normal' which is something I have not felt in a long time.

I find myself wanting fresh fruits and vegetables, salads etc. I find myself eating three times slower than I usually do. I am less and less attracted to eating beef and less food satisfies me. I have an alarm that goes off in my head that tells me I don't want another bite. Before, I would just eat until I was too full.

I'm also taking an herb called "Relaxed Wanderer" that reduces cravings but I took it before I found 5-HTP and it did not help much.

I have lost at least two pounds this week with very little exercise. Just eating less, and eating differently. I have no cravings for pasta, bread, etc. like I used to. Its amazing. I feel less pain, I feel more focused and there are other benefits. No, I don't own the company. LOL I sleep better at night too.

About being over weight, what I don't like about it is buying clothes. I want to look nice, but I hate trying on clothes. It is hard to find really nice looking clothes in larger sizes.

I want to feel good, look good and have lots of energy. That is why I'm losing weight. Now I am confident that I have found the one thing that was missing in my diet. I have tried just about everything, every diet etc.

PS: 5-HTP helps your body produce serotonin. That is what I was lacking.

Detoxing also throws toxins into your blood stream.

Try Eating Raw green salads ( make a mixed green salad with some protein added).

Or get some green barley.

Greens are full of enzymes, but are also very alkaline...

and therefore will help create a better acid/alkaline balance of the body......

greens will also cleanse and clear out the toxins in your body.

Actually, eating raw green salads daily ,is the best way to help the body clease naturally.

Also include aerobic exercise.

Plus Pure air and water.

But Most important of all, keeping a joyful heart.
