And I am not against guns completely but there are too many irresponsible and too looney to have a gun and they get them.

And when I say gun the smallest thing I would carry is a 12 gauge shotgun loading sabot slugs. Smallest hand gun I would carry, .44 magnum with the hottest loads I can get for it! I would NEVER trek Alaska unarmed at all! Bears could care less about your rights. They think we are dinner! And that isn't the only place in the world I would not go out into unarmed.

Try arguing your right to live with a bear. I bet some of you would be stupid enough to think you could mace them and run away! Mace only serves to piss a bear off most of the time! And they do have Adrenalin Rushes too! And a stun gun? Yeah, tell me you are willing to let a 1200 pound Kodiak get that close to you.

Now Mountain Lions are only about 150 lbs for a big one but some of them do hit 200 lbs. Want to argue with them? They have been known to tackle people. And wild dogs? Go ahead and underestimate a dog pack without protection. Be my guest.

And this gets good, how about a pissed off Moose? Think they won't stomp your azz into a bloody mud hole? And that is just in the real wild lands. Hell, wild pigs will even try to make a kill now and then and they are just as happy eating human flesh as anything else. Christ, they even eat BONES!

Now out in the wilderness the one animal I fear the most are the two legged coyotes! But you can find them in the cities too!

I swear the logic people go by sometimes baffles me. This is a case of truly ignorant people trying to make big decisions they are not really qualified to make!

If you are foolish enough to go into the wrong wild lands unarmed that means after you are dead and eaten I will have two points of joy to my life, less competition for the women for one, and you will be a pile is crap in two days thanks to that predator you ran afoul of!
