prashant01.

I ask again,

How would you feel towards anyone who would laugh at you for believing in God?

Would you find that funny or mocking?

Shouldn't be laughed at either way :/

Don't be so serious,dude.I find it funny,so I laughed,it's natural.

There's a quite a bit of difference between laughing at someone beliefs inside your mind and posting that laugh. When one posts a laugh about another's belief, it is a bit of belittling. It becomes more then just an opinion then.

If something is really making me laugh,I don't find it an offense to laugh,Sorry.

Then answer my question please.

Would you find offense if someone constantly laughed at you because of your religious beliefs on a public forum when you were not trying to be funny?

Laughing on someone's belief is teasing. I didn;t laughed at anyone's belief.

You are evading the question.

Are you going to answer the question or not?

I believe in aliens. (Non human type) Feel free to laugh out loud at that. I'm really quite used to that. I hope I am wrong cause the aliens are not nice -- and they are not all our friends. They could just be demons. Some religions believe in demons. People laugh at that too.

If you believe in God and the Devil, you shouldn't laugh at me for believing in aliens.

They could be one and the same.

That's all made up fiction conjured up to scare the masses. You may place your faith in man-made stories, but I don't.
Why should I believe in your pure fiction.

There is absolutely NO EVIDENCE of your ficticious characters!

FICTION! FICTION! FICTION! FICTION! FICTION!

IT'S FICTION!!!!

laugh laugh laugh laugh

I simply stated that I believe in aliens. I did not say that YOU should believe.

rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

However, religious fanatics try to convince others that they should believe the same or else they will go to hell.

You are more than welcome to believe in fiction.

If you want to believe in fiction without evidence, that's fine.

Just remember, IT IS FICTION!

Don't be so serious,dude.I find it funny,so I laughed,it's natural.

The topics, discussions, and points being argued or made were almost all being made seriously. With no explanation or willingness to explain, you come in laughing at them. This itself is seen as rude and comes off as mocking.
But the real icing on the cake is that you only defend yourself and don't admit that perhaps you were impolite.
Any effect I can brush off, but it doesn't change that you have thus far come off as mocking and rude.

prashant01 said

Dude,

Neither you need to blame me, nor I need to defend myself.
I believe in this as much as I believe in god.

And yet you continue to defend yourself. You said: "I didn;t laughed at anyone's belief."

People who don't believe in god, makes me always laugh. In my opinion they believe them self superior than supreme power. That is a good joke for me.

That does not make any sense at all. You are saying that people who don't believe in god, in your opinion, believe them self to be superior to a supreme power. Correct?

If they don't believe in a supreme power(God) then how can they believe them self to be superior to something they don't believe in?

You of course, believe in God and you believe you are right and they are wrong. Therefore it is YOU who believes that you are superior to THEM. Your laughter is mocking them because you think they are so wrong or ignorant.

Anyway,I don't think I hurt anyone as it is all about one's thoughts & not belief.

You hurt no one but you do reveal yourself.

I think in religions, the followers rarely ask why, they just flow with it and are perfectly happy like that.

Maybe ask those people WHY they think they believe what they say they believe.

The most common replies that I've heard:

-- it's in the bible so I believe it
-- It's what my family believes
-- I believe because I have faith ((?)
-- I believe it because it just feels right in my heart
-- I'd rather be safe than sorry

I have heard some very compelling arguments as well, but most just go to the bible to explain why.
I cannot tell you how flawed I think that reasoning is.

Thanks for this forum....JMO (just my opinion)

there is not a way to explain everything all the time

some things just 'make sense' to us and other don't

I believe what I believe because it makes sense to me, it fits in with what I have experienced and observed for myself about life in general

Today is Good Friday, a very pensive day for most Christians. It's the day Jesus was crucified on the cross. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Aliens are a lot less ficticious than God. It is massively probable that somewhere out there are many other forms of intelligent and not so intelligent life. This is based on science, and not any kind of ficticious book. The only reason there is no actual evidence of life elsewhere is because of the massive distance there would be between us. The nearest star(besides the sun) that a planet with life could potentially be revolving around, is about 25 billion miles away. We'll most likely never see any evidence of aliens but it doesnt mean they aren't out there.

I'm sure if there is, then they/it (God) can also be identified as aliens.

aliens: "Non human intelligent self aware life forms."

I believe that aliens travel to this earth inter-dimensionally. NOT in normal spaceships that would require speeds faster than the speed of light.

The travel is accomplished by bending space and going through worm-holes.

Advanced beings (aliens) came to earth long ago and manipulated the primitive humans on this planet genetically. We know this genetic manipulation is possible because we ourselves are now capable of doing it.

Yes, we humans are experimenting on how to design and create life and DNA, so it is not science fiction to think that beings from the other side of the galaxy are doing it too, and have done it to our earth.

These beings were worshiped as Gods. They were in competition here on earth to develop a human subject. There were many Gods/aliens working on these projects all over the world. The Mayans had aliens, the middle east, and the American Indians has their alien gods too.

The "gods" are aliens. The aliens are the gods.

Because we exist it is likely that others exist, it makes sense. They would have evolved in the same or a similar way we did. An omnipotent creator doesnt make sense, because it begs the question, who/what created the creator. And who/what created the creator's creator etc, it doesnt make any sense at all.

Infinity is a difficult concept. It goes in a circle. You see, time itself does not really exist in a linear fashion that we are used to.

Events are what exist. Cause and effect moves in one direction and that is what creates the illusion of time itself. Time is meaningless. Change and events are the thing you must focus on if you get into "time travel."

So because infinity is an endless circle, who created who is not the question. We created ourselves. That is the answer.

think about these two sentences

"They would have evolved in the same or a similar way we did."

"An omnipotent creator doesnt make sense, because it begs the question, who/what created the creator."

....this begs the question of who would have created the other lifeforms,, which similarly doenst seem to 'make sense'

evolution requires a process, but processes start somewhere,,,so whether it is intelligent lifeforms on other planets or a God in the sky,,,ANY theory comes back to the ultimate debate/conflict of

'ok,, and what came before THAT....?'

the beginning could probably not be explained or understood in the terms we have come to be familiar with

but the 'beginning' could be a question used to refute ANY theory of intelligence, on earth, in the universe, or in the heavens,,,,

and one we most likely will not be able to prove an answer to,,,

msharmony,

You are right. You cannot explain or understand the "beginning" because infinity has no beginning or end. Even if it did at one time, no entity, man or god, would be able to find it.

It is a circle. It is infinity. There is no beginning or end.

The alpha and the omega are one and the same!

No that wouldn't make sense. Why would our creator need to be created? Why couldn't whom created us have always been since the beginning? The cycle of life is only the cycle of life in this world, in this flesh eg., born, live, die, ect. So again, I ask why would our creator have to have a creator itself?

Yes absolutely true, I totally agree. Thus is why I said what you are saying here doesn't make sense. The Cycle of Life only applies to us on this Earth right now. We are born, we live, we die, and so forth. But that is not how it is with God. God has always been. There is no before God, there is no after God. God is the beginning and the end *meaning there is no before God and no after* God didn't have a "start", God just has always been.
