So, my brother (in law) is a custom weapons maker. He digs hunting and is a good rednecked man and a great father...great friend too. (outstanding moonshiner too!)

Usually he makes silencers, full autos and long range sniping rifles. (federally liscenced)

This is the custom gun set he made for my 6 year old niece....Pink stocks and grips in a pink steel case with pink camo's to get her used to gun safety and the right way to handle guns.

So stupid...I had to laugh.....but, really freaking cool....and the kid loves pink.

A Mini 7.62 and a reduced 9 mm. Both are getting silencers and the 7.62 if up gradable to full auto.

Texas women...go figure...

I thought reddish colors on guns (well, pink is close) like that meant they were toys so the police wouldn't shoot them thinking they were real weapons?

But otherwise, yeah, it's cool.

Many states have taken up such ideas and set out laws around the concept. The reality . . . the police are not going to assume just becuase the gun you point at them has an orange tip is not a deadly threat.

I like women's guns. Like there is a Ladies Sig Sauer but it's got a red streak. I wish it came in purple. There was around Christmas an NRA edition Ruger in gray camo with NRA on it. I thought it was cool.

My friend,a real gun collector, calls them vagina guns. I am not offended. I was trained by a crusty old NRA instructor and started with with .22s ending with a Glock and a shotgun.

I fired everything from BBs to hollow points. He wanted me to understand balistics. I love cleaning guns. I credit that to being a girl. Disassmeblng (sp) and a gun and reassembling it is not unlike playing with the intricate parts of a Barbie collection. Little tiny things that fit together just so.

I mean whatever gets her involved.

You can never teach a girl too much.

You all know my daddy was a Sears repairman.

My latest learning moments?? I overheard an entire lecture on "the identified wire" and the thingy not an Allen Wrench and not a screw driver is called a "torque". Oh and let's us not forget to how to be a master negotiator on Craig's list.

Adorable niece! Funny pic!

Someone offered me a pink Lady Smith & Wesson at the gun store...I thought it was a little too girlie for me, but then again it might be very effective if it made a threat disregard me as serious (until I plugged 'em!)

My ex tried and tried 20 years ago to buy me silver and pink pearl handled revolver and I was like NO NO NO NO NO. Heck woman, a man buys a you a gun, hold on to it, keep it clean and oiled and SELL IT LATER. How I wish I would have taken that gun now. It's worth the bucks.

Ya, my mom beactches that my dad once bought her an electric can opener for a holiday. Yet, I have not seen her go back to manual.

At least you can defend yourself with a shot gun, you can't throw a nice shirt and sweater set at your attacker and run (leaving self open to bad jokes).

Well said!

To the later post, guns are actually a great investment. They retain value if not used excessively. Just dont try to sell them to gun shops.

An excuse to hike the price up. A gun is a gun!

That said, considering my dad sprays his work tools neon pink, he'd probably buy a pink gun if he needed it. He's weird, what can I say.

Uhhhh...John...your from Canada. I am from the country of Texas...we average 5 guns per every man, woman and child. She is just getting started but, her Dad has an AWESOME collection. (and she is an only child)...it is only gonna get worse.

Nope...makes perfect sense. First...no one will want to borrow his tools. If they do, it is easy to spot the ones they haven't returned.

I use the same principle when buying a lighter....I tell them.."I want the gayest one you got"

The clerk always looks at me funny till I explain...the guys in my shop will pocket a lighter...but, they don't wanna be seen with a pink one.

who cares what color a gun is? it is not a fashion accessory, it is a weapon... your going to pay extra money just because it is pink? but then again, they could be to accessorize with the new military we have now...
