I believe we were not all made the same. Some of us were made to be completely fine by ourself. Others were meant to be married. I think a satisfying life involves knowing which one we are and if we are meant to be married, finding the person who compliments us best (not JUST someone we 'love').

I don't think being married has anything to do with it. I would say that being happy with the one your with would lead one to a more satisfying life with another...

But then just being happy whether one is with someone or not is the key for one does not have to be with another to live a satisfying life...

Not usually. It depends on the person and what they want from life.

According to studies, men live longer who are married than not married. But women live shorter lives if they're married, though they still usually outlive the men.

I have no interest in being married. Especially looking at the way the marriages get when people get older. Talk about miserable!!!

I think it depends on the two people involved. No point in being in a loveless marriage. I would like to, but i'm not building my hopes up!

It was for me. Sadly, she passed away.

As I've never had a "satisfying" marriage I wouldn't know.

Maybe I'll find out with my next victim?

No, I don't think they've found anything that would bring one to a conclusion either way.
