Hey everyone. Most of you know me but for those of you who don't . . .Im Penny :). As of last week I started a Dr. supervised diet. I also gave increased the amount that I exercise. I am morbidity obease and desperately want to be healthier. My Dr is lookingvinto getting weight loss surgery approved for me. but that takes time and any weight I loose before surgery will help my to recover better . SO . . Im starting this thread to get support.and give support to anyone else who is trying to loose weight. please feel free to share healthy recipes, dieting tips, weight m.ore goals and accomplishments and if you get discouraged let me know I'm awesome at pep talks . Today is June 22,2012 and I weigh 404 pounds I am on a 1500 calorie a day diet and I swim 3 or more times a week for exercise. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. :) GOOD LUCK TO YOU MY FRIEND. oOne thing that helped me was being hypnotised, another was when i learned that all you need to eat is about the size of a fist. if you are still hungry after that, wait 15 minutes before you nibble again, you most likely wont be hungry.

Hi everyone You all are so awesome. Things are going great. I'm moving into a bigger apt. And the new complex not only has a pool and spa but also has a fitness center that I am looking to using. I appreciate everyones support sooo much. Thank you . . .(((BIG HUGS))) to all of you.

Awesome! And good luck with your move. That's very exciting! We have a "Biggest Loser" challenge going at work with weekly weigh-ins. The weekly prize is $38 and the big prize at the end is $450! I lost 2 pounds last week and I'm pretty sure at weigh-in tomorrow I'll be down another 2. At that rate I probably won't win the prize but I'll definitely be happy with a 2 pound a week loss.

Hi everyone. :) In december my dr. sent me to a ear nose and throat specialist because i have been having cronic sore throats and enflamed tonsils that were not responding to antibiotics. The dr sent me to do a sleep study to confirm my sleep apena before surgery. turns out i have severe obstructe sleep apneia and have to use a C-Pap machine at night. The dr wants to remove my tonsils and part of my uvula to eliminate the infected tonsils and improve the sleep apnea. Im having this done on monday, and will be staying over might.So all your thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated. :) cuz to be honest . . im a little sacred . . . actually im alot sacred i know its a minor procedure but i have never had to undergo anestesa . . guess it will be good practice for my big surgery when its approved. :) thanks for listening. Good luck, Penny. I'm sure you'll be fine, and you'll probably feel a lot better for the surgery. I always feel crummy (nauseous) for the first 12 hours or so after anesthesia, but then the next day is fine.
