I don't even know what you mean by that. Could you explain what this topic is about in clearer English or just try to elaborate a bit so that we can understand what you're talking about?

I've not experienced this myself, but hear it from girlfriends all the time.

I think that a lot of men want to take care of us, and think that making decisions for us is how it’s done.

There are both men and women who think they need to have the last word... it is not strictly a man thing. Everyone should be able to know how to shut up sometimes. It is not a contest after all.

Seems silly.
As long as you get the last thought
(in your head) you win :-)

So I'm thinking the last thing they are usually saying is

"bye bye".

Most men don't understand women.

When the book was written with that bizarre title, 'Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus", I did a cartoon showing a man smiling at his woman who was reading a book called,"Men Are From Earth, Women Are From Earth, Deal With It" and sent it to the author. He liked it and appreciated the sentiment...Men AND women are from Earth, deal with it or spend life alone, as we may die alone, there is no reason to be so self centered and arrogant that no one of the opposite sex wants you around. Whereas if they find you repugnant, well, there is nothing that can change that and alone you'll be for life. Hopefully then, the next one will be better.

It's like this. A guy has to get that last word in, even if the last word is "I know you are but what am I"? Afterwards, when the women just stomp off at how unfair and ridiculous us men are, the guy will go into the bedroom, stand in front of the mirror, and say "Yeah. I showed her. Who's the man? That's right! ME". He will then proceed to pound his chest, pose and then will chest bump the mirror. Now....honestly....why would you ladies want to deprive us men of this? laugh

we don't - she was was just asking why you always want the last word. (the OP). She , the OP, didn't say anything about wanting the last word tht I remember

thanks for the honesty goof. I think it speaks though to a competitive style of speech that I know I don't care for and is probably best saved for football arguments with the boys.

really a couple should be speaking more cooperatively, like,,,,,shall we leave the lights on or do you want me to turn them off B4 we do it sweety???? and such...flowerforyou

She asked why men want the last word, so I gave her the reason. However, I should also mention that before the man tries to get the last word in, all the woman needs to do is put up a finger and tell him to wait for about five minutes. She then makes her way to the bedroom leaving the man a bit furious, confused and also wondering what the heck she is doing in the bedroom. Five minutes later, the bedroom door opens up and out steps his lady in some sexy lingerie. She looks at him and asks, "You were saying...."? Man shuts up instantly. laugh
