I was just thinking about the upright, hairless, weird look of Humans compared to all other animals found on earth. I was also watching animals of the wild with my nephew when he started asking questions. Why do humans have to cook our food? I think it's all weird and right now I'm writing my own sci-fi novel to explain it all.

Well when I was a kid I was told I came from the local butchers. ohwell

So I told my kids the same thing when they asked questions.

I always thought Darwin explained it nicely

The novel is going to be fiction, which means my own explanation. It's coming from my imagination. I just wanted to see other's take on it.

I don't believe Darwin. I believe in Natural Selection, that's just common sense but evolution is very flawed. Also Darwin was a racist, and used his theory to prove that the white man was more evolved than others. I damn sure can't believe in that. To people who straight stick to science, my question is how do a bunch of molecules create consciousness? And if Evolution was true why aren't there any other species that evolved to the level of laptops and cellphones? Just us Human's huh??

East african great rift valley
certain species animals have evolved over time the fossil record shows that. oh and Darwin was not only one who developed his ideas on natural selection and survival fittest but he was the first to be published and given.credit

uhm i thought he said we change with the area we live in ?
never caught the racist part
but then again i am not racist so i might have missed it

Thank you, My theory centers around ancient aliens, and a group of Humans getting stranded here, having to start over in civilization. I have a lot more ideas, You will have to read the novel when it drops.

Forget it, not sure why you mentioned racism, the race card perhaps.

Good luck

You have to check it out. They leave that part out in many Bio books.

because humans evolved the ability to reason things out... comprehension is what separates us from other animals...

?? darwins theories were based on natural selection, which is evolution... you should probably get a better understanding before you try to write a book on it...

humans can learn how things work and why, all other animals cold care less... thats comprehension...

Doubt Darwin or Darwinian principles all you want. This isn't like name brand vs generic. SCIENCE (biology is SCIENCE) doesn't work that way. The human genome studies show that human DNA is 97% of that of the chimpanzee. That's 3% different. Bald eagles and finches are both birds but there is huge difference in their DNA. Different species[order(family{genus<species>})] of fruit flies DNA differs from 10-12%.

Humans are animals, we are mammals. So are gorillas, chimpanzees, monkeys etc. Recently they have been found to show much more intelligent than previously thought. So are dogs, mice, birds......
If no one ever showed you a book or taught you English or gave you cooked food you wouldn't be much different from a chimpanzee. Given a similar mate in the wild away from civilization you would devolve into a separate subspecies and your offspring would be our "missing link" homo erectus.
That's the jump in the stairs you are unaware of.

longer beak so birds can get at the critters they want to eat yes i understand that part

as far as the steps i was talking about was the gaps that the people you got your info from that leave it out
look at the humans they present to give you there facts
notice its not a small incline that would be Darwins theorie
it looks more like a step ladder rather then a small incline

are we animals
yes some are, but i was talking about humans
to a point yes i would not be much different from chimpanzee's
except that whole thumb on there feet thing

oh and your dna thought's
do you know how many of the dna are still unknown ? ?

sort of like saying if we go faster then the speed of light we will go back in time (witch has been proven fasle)
to lazy to look it up but they ran light through gas , witch made it go faster cause there was less resistance , did it go back in time ? ? ? well if it still went forward then i would say no

same as a short blink ago, you would tell me we could not travel faster then the speed of sound , or that the world was flat and i would fall off if i went to far etc etc etc

i do believe we are just infants starting to learn but with one foot still in the cave , and we have a long long way to go yet(myself included)(even though i score genus level on the tests , for what ever good that means still have problems judging someones intel by that but <shrug> that is off topic)

as we keep trying to get better and learn more (if we don't kill are self's first)

i do believe in a lot of science but not all of it , flat earth was proof till they changed it : )

do we learn from are parents , most do ... couple months ago i learned about some people being raised out in the wilds by animals
they learned from there animal parents on how to live and what to do ,but as far as that being the gap between what i think about darwins theorie's uhm was not what i was talking about

never forget to Que. everything
Science isn't there yet to have the answers to everything , but yes i agree they do have a lot of it figured out , but not all of it

thanks for your info : )
