I would tend to agree with most of us being a bit skeptical over profiles not really filled out.

They tend to be fakes in one way or another or they won't be around long.

Me personally I love the site.

Anymore dating sites seem to be going in 1 of 2 directions.

1. Selling out to new investors that are really just harvesting data.
I'm seeing where some sites are consolidating into big databases and removing blocks to any predator.
Common anymore is where you sign up for one, and you start getting your email spammed from a bunch of different sites you've never visited telling you that you have matches, or messages, or flirts, or winks, or access to better singles.
Mostly in the hopes of getting you to visit, generate traffic, signing up and adding more info to their database.
They sell the info and email addresses.

One thing that made me laugh was seeing where an escort review site, a "hookup" (like aff, but not that one) site, a sugarbaby/daddy site, and some regular dating sites were consolidated into one main free dating website. And a lot of the profiles were the same people (same user photos) as I've seen on this site and on more popular free dating sites. So there'd be a hooker profile picture right next to the girl next door picture. Hilarious.


2. Selling the site to people that want to use the brand in order to market new apps or just generate ad revenue like a cash cow.
They come in, get rid of all the wetware (human employees) costs, and just let the site slowly coast to a stop, taking as much cash out of it as possible.


Between flip and failure there will always be a trickle of honest people using a site for stated purposes.

Do many people use this site?
I don't know what you mean by "many."
"Many" seem to be switching to their phone and dating apps.
"Many" also use web searches to find a free dating website and just sign up to any that come up.
"Many" also marry people they met at work and through friends.

Is this place a scam?
I think this place is doing what it can to fulfill its purpose as a business, like any other dating website.
This isn't an extension of socialized healthcare whose focus is on you mating and your emotional well being.

I'll bite.
What kind of scam?
It's free.
It's a corner of cyberspace where people drop in and out,
often dependent upon how their lovelife is going :-)

To be truthful when I saw the name of this topic I thought it was something from the play 'Oliver', you know the famous song, 'anything'.
So anyway, to give my opinion, yes, people do use this site, and a lot of lovely people use this sight I may add, join in the forums and you never know, it could be 'Bobs your uncle'

Like every other dating site you will be contacted by scammers, but fewer on here than most sites, and if you do suspect someone to be a scammer report them to the site to be checked out, no harm done if they are genuine people.

When I read this thread's title, I thought it meant . . .

It is my experience with other sites that women don't care what I put on my profile , so why bother. I asked a good question, and got some good answers. To those who weren't snooty : thank you.
I will say this , there are alot of 28 year old women who look like models messaging me - one was Filipino and clearly wanted an American sugar daddy. And some eventually want me to go to another site. Obviously there are a lot of spam accounts here, which is why I asked.
I also notice that it takes a long time for pages to load on this site . Does anyone else have that happen ?

Okay I'm a little confused on what this topic is about.. is it about anything? or is the topic strictly about anything? like the word anything.. does anything go here?. does it really matter if I put anything down?. is everything or just anything ok?. because I got to tell you anything is pretty vague and pretty broad at the same time.. because anything could mean everything and anything.. and if anything goes well I just need to know where to draw the line.. because right now I'm oiling myself up and slipping into my latex suit lol
