I'm wondering... whenever you see 2 guys fight in a movie they do whatever they can, hit punch, kick, whatever.
But... you never see a man kick another man in the nuts.
Do man not do this when they end up in a fight? If not, why not? Is it something you automatically don't do cos you know it hurts like hell?

Crystal, how did you come up with this? Made me laugh.

Lol, me too cat.

I'm not a guy, but I'm guessing it's because that's hitting below the belt. It would be cowardly? It's more macho to punch each other in the face.

hahaha... it's cos you never see that in movies. Men engaged in fights that last forever, and me thinking, just kick him in the nuts and get it over with, ya idiot!
It doesn't have to be that difficult.

I think maybe indeed the coward thing, but I'd prefer kneeing the opponent in the baws over breaking my fingers. Plus, a good fighter will block that attempt, so succeeding is still heroic tongue2

Haha, I've thought the same thing. Perhaps in the movies, they need to drag it on, so they have to punch each other. Kicking him in the nuts would be too quick in bringing him down. laugh

I know what you mean. In the movie world, we want to see a big fist fight or a battle with swords, something epic.

First rule of actual fighting to remember.

Marquis de Queensbury was a wussy..

In some types of organized fighting,
such as boxing, kicking someone in
the groin is enough to disqualify you.

In the real world? In a real fight?
Well... Sometimes a dude will get
his nuts stomped into paste.
When that happens, it's usually because
he damned well deserved it.

I don't necessarily condone any type
of violence.
But, I can say, there's nothing pretty about
it.

In movies I've seen guy fights with nut punches and kicks and it just depends on the fight reason and humor level as to whether it has a desired effect.

In real life guys get into fights for many different reasons.
If its life or death, anything goes including biting, eye poking & kicking.
The 'low blow' is bad form if the fight has an audience and is not life or death.
How one fights depends a lot on the reason and the skill level.

In the movie 'The Outlaw Josey Wales',
Clint Eastwood's character shoots
a guy in the nuts.

In the movie 'Pale Rider',
again Clint Eastwood.
The character 1. tosses an
axe handle and hits a guy in
the nuts. 2. The character later
hits a guy in the nuts with a sledgehammer.

In martial arts a groin kick is worth a point. You wear protection so its not damaging. In real world situations depends on the reason for the fight, pull a weapon and you might be speaking with a high pitch voice when you come to.

Easy for the women to laugh....not so for anyone who has experienced it. Stay safe all.

I seldom watch fight or battle scenes .. but I would agree that the context /reason for fight and skill /fitness of the opponents determine what tactics they employ . In a Fight for survival a blow to the temples , trachea or base of skull would be more lethal than targeting testicles . Perhaps Some men focus more on protecting vital organs rather than their testicles ..
as for movie fights it is more about special affects and entertainment .

Do man not do this when they end up in a fight? If not, why not?

IMO this is kinda like asking "in movies you see cops shoot the gun out of the bad guys hand, or aim for the leg or arm...do people in real life not do this when they end up in a shootout? If not, why not?"

It's possible that men don't do it because they don't want it done to them, either during the fight or later, by the other guy's friends, in retaliation. For women the pain may be similar to being punched in the breast.

Modern warfare is not considered in terms of who is right -but of who is left.

Have you ever seen a woman get kicked between the legs? I have... I can tell you, it's every bit as bad as a man getting it in there.

Haha, women fighting ain't pretty, in a way far worse than men fighting.
Maybe women are better with jiu jitsu or ninja techniques that require less physical strength but are equally painful, probably even worse.
Kind of like Jet Li. The man barely moves yet floors everyone.
