In an effort to get into the Christmas spirit.. I'm going to make a 'Grinch Christmas Tree'..to put the gifts around..
Actually, I am not a fan of the Christmas commercialism and the pressure to buy something for someone.. I give and show all year long..
there will be friends and family and food..

I am in a LDR (800 kilometres)
We do live in the same Country... and we are of the same culture and colour, nearly the same nationality and with similar morals and values..
We will either fly or drive and see each other every 2-3 weeks...and have a visit from 3 or 4 days to a couple weeks together at a time.. when we are apart there are many phone visits throughout the day and evening...
I cannot see a LDR working if two people are of a different culture,..along with being thousands and thousands of miles apart.... too much trouble and aggravation to bring them to the west.
My humble opinion..ohwell

I am going to donate all my recipe books
It seems that when I look for inspiration of something to bake/cook, I turn to google..and the plethora of ideas and instructions therein..

I am lucky to live in an area of the world where we have very little natural disasters...rarely a tornado, but lots of wind; sometimes a flood - in the spring due to poor water management systems of spring run-off from the mountain snow pack... no earthquakes though. Most disasters here are man-made.

Yes or no

*****************************

Hell YES...Life wasn't meant to be easy.

—Now

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him/Her to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.

I tossed the granny panties years ago.. I do like some cloth between me and the jeans and a thong does the trick (not to mention helps the jeans fit better). seems more hygienic to have a barrier..

My girl asked an interesting question that I am researching but have surprisingly few results for. Why do people squint when they can't HEAR something clearly or well?

We both understand squinting as it relates to vision, but is there some underlying primitive instinct that causes people to sometimes squint when something is difficult to hear?

While I haven't noticed the squinting, what I have noticed is what seems to be an automatic "what" or "huh?" And then you have to repeat yourself...
I find it's best to get their attention first , gain eye contact and then comment or ask the question..

How to determine if you gf or wife had someone else

If you mean.. if she had (sex with) someone else before she met you?.. then that would fall into the NOYB category. What ever happens before you is irrelevant to you... good lord!frownhuh

fyi - NOYB = none of your business..

well, I feel very lucky.. my hunny holds my hand everywhere we go - in the vehicle and out shopping; as for cuddling? not out of style in my world..
