I met my wife on another site 15 years ago and we hit it off, we've been married for 8 years and have two beautiful kids together. It started out as a hook-up but it's really no different than meeting at a bar, or club, or whatever. Back then though sites weren't infested with fake profiles, bots and scammers like they are today.

So your married and have 2 beautiful kids....So exactly why would you be on a dating site? slaphead

I think Ryan has aspirations to be president at some point. He can run for Governor next which would be more local and good step toward his ultimate goal.
I'm not a huge Ryan fan but I think he did a good job overall.
It must be very frustrating to Ryan and most House members to work so hard to get bills past(over 400)just to be shot down by a very dysfunctional Senate.

I have been in contact with someone that lives quite a distance away. As a result meeting is hard and often we both feel we are not caring enough about each other.
who else has issues with this type of relationship?

First, In general, long distance relationships rarely work out. You invest a lot of time and sometimes money communicating before you actually meet for the first time. Then depending on how that first meeting goes...if it is a complete let down, you have wasted a lot of resources and your screwed.
Depending WHERE this long distance relationship is happening, remember that if it is from outside this country it may mean the only way for your partner to come here is to marry them.

Secondly and probably more importantly, you have been on this site for just about a week and I remember some of your first posts.
I hate to burst your bubble but if this new "contact" was met on here and you are not savvy to how some of the scammers operate, I would be very very careful about how you approach this...do not under any circumstances start sending any money(for any excuse they give you) until you know them quite a long time(months and months), by then you'll know if they are for real.

Yes I believe it changes... like everything in The Human Experience it's always involving always changing.. like somebody above me has posted divorce used to be taboo but now it iis widely accepted.. gay marriage once very taboo is now accepted...
So like everything it involves it changes our perception changes... we are constantly relearning changing our perception or opinion of things.... is love just a chemical reaction triggered by stimuli.... and if you don't constantly feed that stimulant love dies off... who knows

I think there are those that are confusing Life and social changes with true love.
Yes, opinions change like said above, lifestyles etc.
But if you have ever loved someone so deeply that you would give your own life for that person then you would know that regardless of how society changes,it is not a chemical stimuli nor that it ever dies.

I've had experiences too. Lights going on by themselves, not just the light itself like faulty wiring but the switch itself actually going on by itself. Shadow figures crossing the room.
Ghosts, Spirits or "people from a different dimension" I am not sure but it can be very unsettling sometimes.

Im a singlemom of a five year old boy..been working overseas for like 4 yrs and now I took an off just thinking to find happiness for my own,but theres always part of me thinkin about my family..what to do..i wanna be happy too but i cant just set aside them..

Not exactly understanding your situation but hopefully your 5 year old has been overseas with you. As for the rest of your "family" why can't you live your own life AND think about your family once in awhile?

It is obvious FB and others including twitter are totally biased against conservative speech.
I do give Zuckerburg credit for at least being honest and admitting such when he told Ted Cruz that "most tech company's are in Silcon Valley and lean far left".

On a side note, it has just been discovered that Black Lives Matter page is a fake and a scam and is actually run by some guy in Australia who reaps all the money from items sold on the site.
Funny that this probably would have been discovered along time ago if it was a conservative group under much more scrutiny!

Water babes are real .. mermaids are myth bigsmile waving

Well you are proof of thatwinking But as for mermaids, although there are a lot of fake videos and pics, NOAA scientists have come forward with evidence and testimony they do exist.
I think it is still an open question.
We still know very little about what lives in the ocean which covers 3/4 of the planet.
We discover new species everyday.

Hello and welcome :blush::blush::blush:

I am single but I am only 27 and I am not searching for a partner here.. if none are replying in pm you can try joining here in forums.. here, you may or may not find a partner but you will find real people... you may also find real friends

Anyway, good luck to your search

Good advice, there is a much greater chance that the people using the forums are real(not guaranteed)and you may find the person your looking for.
Outside of these forums, there are few real people.JMO

Its a huge site and they are being reinstated. It was a temporary pause and the call was on the Site to make, just as this site temporarily pauses some of us.

It is the call of the site, and nothing unusual with such sites. Im sure they arent the first, only, or last to experience it.

It wasn't a pause, this took place for over 4 months until FB finally addressed the issue about "being a danger to the community".
Yesterday FB released another statement saying they had Talk to Diamond and Silk and have resolved the issue.
But late last night D&S was on a news program (@ 11pm est) and said they still had not talked to or had been contacted by FB.

Just a FYI, their page was never taken down, but their news feed and followers were cut off from their updates etc.

Sorry to hear about the failure of the relationship you had so hoped for. The Good news is that it is better to find out about these things before you invested more of your time and love and found out she was cheating on you later in the relationship.

You are young and beautiful and still have a whole life ahead of you.
If you have the resources, maybe try to travel and see different parts of the world to heal and also you may find a fulfilling relationship with someone other then an Aussie(looking for another Aussie may just keep an old wound open).

In any case, Good luck and I know you'll find the right woman for you!flowerforyou

Wow!! I must have been smoking some really good weed when I made this topic LOL

I totally agree with that! The "utopia" you describe is utterly unachievable.
It is not greed nor government that is the problem(both are created by humans) rather it is because we are not robots who all need just the same EverReady battery to live.
From the dawn of civilization before there was money or governments people traded or bartered for their existence.
Maybe someone good at hunting would trade food for a chair or bed etc.
But if you did not contribute or fend for yourself you died, there were no hand outs.
In your dream world, what do you do with those that don't want to do anything except drink or do drugs? Those that don't want to contribute to the "community"?

Because we are humans and not robots we have different dreams, expectations and interests of what we want for ourselves and family.

One may be completely satisfied with an "allowance" of say one steak a week, where another may want more protein in their kids diet. This is not greed, just different preferences.

As much as this dream state seems like a Utopia, it would invariably be a nightmare to most because your limits of thought, dreams and independence would be squashed.

Mark Zuckerberg is to testify about the Cambridge Analytica data leak today..

Seems he may be in a world of hurt and suppose to let facebook users know their info was hacked..

But getting back to Diamond & Silk it is wrong to censor them they do not promote violence ect or porn which I see pics that should not be allowed but are yet they want to silence them??? Think they better retract and let them post..

Yes FB can have serious financial liability too. The Federal Trade Commission, a bi-partisan independent group can fine a company $40,000.00 for a single breach of a person's privacy.
Imagine FB paying that amount for 87 million users!

The acting FTC Directtor recently released this statement.

“The FTC is firmly and fully committed to using all of its tools to protect the privacy of consumers. Foremost among these tools is enforcement action against companies that fail to honor their privacy promises, including to comply with Privacy Shield, or that engage in unfair acts that cause substantial injury to consumers in violation of the FTC Act. Companies who have settled previous FTC actions must also comply with FTC order provisions imposing privacy and data security requirements. Accordingly, the FTC takes very seriously recent press reports raising substantial concerns about the privacy practices of Facebook. Today, the FTC is confirming that it has an open non-public investigation into these practices.”

I guess Facebook has a lot more to worry about then the backlash of Diamond and Silk supporterslaugh

I don't see how FB can reasonably and intelligently answer these questions raised by D&S.

Hopefully FB will see how blatant their bias is and retract their Censorship.
