Look at your original question. You are asking which helps a relationship succeed: Love or money. You didn't ask love and/or money.

The way the question is asked, it is calling for a direct comparison.

It depends on the individual.
Some people can see a risk for what it is and not value the short term consequences, but can appreciate the longer term consequences, or vice versa.
Some people can't see a risk for what it is.
Some people make up risks and serendipitously prepare for others that aren't seen.
Some people make up risks and through their actions make them real, or put themselves into more risk through their preventative behavior against other risks, seen or unseen, realized or oblivious.

Not as phrased above. The present is certainly a direct RESULT of what came before, with the exception that some entirely new things do happen. Evolution is based in large part on spontaneous mutations.

Adjusted by the future? Nope. Again, not as phrased. My CONCERN about a POSSIBLE future, might lead me to make a decision in the present, but that's not the ACTUAL FUTURE influencing me, it's my IMAGINATION of the future which takes place in the Present, that leads to my decision making.

A couple of other points: there's the actual past, and I don't imagine that that changes, but then if you get picky about it, the past doesn't even exist any more. Only our memory of it, and the results of what did happen that are still around us. However, our memories of the past can and do change, not only in each individual, but because we have to tell each other about what happened in the different parts of the world, THOSE stories can change.

Some of us have had to deal with delusional or duplicitous people, and so we might have an entirely false "past" that we thought happened, and which we slowly discover did not.

I had to reflect on this for a short time and with my interpretation of the statement, I agree.

The Present is the here and now, how I choose to live in this moment. The past will always be there, unchanged, however to reflect upon, to learn and grow from...so in a matter of speaking, who I am in this moment can be based from the past. And the Present can be adjusted by the future in that if I would like to strive for something, I will adjust the things I am doing in the here and now, in order to obtain that.

Yes, I agree. And I like the word "discover" that you used. I don't feel we find love by actively going out there seeking it. It's something we discover along the way, just kind of shows up, at the right time, with the right person.

If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made up of.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma which is living with the results of other people's thinking.

Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, for time is short.

It's like a cup of hot coffee because you need to keep filling it in order to keep it warm/hot.
