So in better words ,you are saying that your morals and Godly beliefs change with age...How deplorable an example can you be when you deny the basic principles of Christian living just because you are 50 plus...I will repeat myself ...we should be getting closer to God the older we get not selling Him out because it is convenient.
This forum is a way of talking about issues which includes grammar and definitions of words...FWB is by definition non committed sexual relations.So in your world it is okay to defy God and the written word..not in mine...way to simple... If I may put my 2 cents in. My late husband and I used to play poker for money.Every month or so we'd get together with family and friend. and have a great time. We had our limits though on how much money we'd play with. It wasn't big heavy duty poker games with thousands of dollars. I miss those days. I haven't played poker since that was 20 some years ago Grey, please don't misunderstand my post about poker. What I was trying to get the other poster to do was to tell me how it was ok to do one thing that is associated in his own belief system with sin was ok, but anyone else who did something in the same manner was a whore. It was about a concept..that one sin is ok but another isn't. |

You have the right to believe as you so desire and to have your own thoughts and ideas, that does not however, prove that they are the ONLY ones. You disrepected other peoples beliefs while no one anywhere disrepected yours. Again, you can't choose which sins are ok FOR you and then choose what sins are OK for others. Sin is SIN. As long as we draw a breath, we will, including you sir, be a sinner!!! BTW...I have grown closer to God with age! |

I think generally folks who are single over 50 understand the realities of life and dating. And maybe the ideal relationship does not exist, but we still need the companionship and intimacy so arrangements are made between consenting adults. Probably in a lot of cases there is more there than just friendship, but to keep things simple we just call it FWB. Personally I think whatever two people come to agree on and if it works then have fun and enjoy each other's company. Life is too short try to make everything perfect. Amen to that

ok so your saying that if you make a commitment to someone not you did not say marriage, you said commitment that its ok to have sex. You are nothing but a hypocrate. There is no difference at all between the two.
