Yes. It takes a while for someone to be a "true" friend though. And only after they have accomplished this do you let your guard down and let your true self (secrets,faults and all) come through. Its a self defense mechanism of sorts.

Have you been told that you are hard to get to know? I'm a good listener, easy to talk to -- plenty of training in that area. People like to talk to me, and they tend to open up fairly quickly. I myself don't open up so easily; not because I don't want to, but usually because the other person is the one who needs to do the talking. I guess I am hard to get to know, in the deeper meaning of the term. I don't let people in easily, but once they're in, they're in....

it depends. there are some people with whom i have immediate rapport or naturally gravitate towards. those ones get into my mind rather easily. i don't much discuss my personal feelings though, or my private life, with anyone unless they are extremely close to me. i've always been that way, even as a child.
