Tooo funny heck I have a 6 year old granddaughter that I will not get one of those buggies and push her around in at the store instead she walks and helps me put stuff in the buggy. Sure at times she will get on the end or front while I push it but we are laughing and talking the whole time then she gets off and gets what I want in between.
But I want let her sit and ride the whole time even at 6 shshh hell I would leave his arse in the car or at home instead.

We park the car where ever we can, if its not close I tell my kids "Hey we got good legs, lets use em!"

Personally I blame the parents,that go along with it.Makes you wonder if she uses handicap tag in car as well.

I always wondered what people meant when they described someone as an "Enabler." Now I know! That mom needs to grow a spine and tell Junior to get off his butt and push the grocery cart for her.
