8. Our toilet, our rules

If you come over to our house, spend the night, and leave the toilet seat up,

So...are you saying that if you spend a night at a man's house, the woman needs to put the seat up?

Ron

Actually, Yes. When I am at a house where there is all guys or a boyfriend's place.... if the toliet seat is up, I put it back up when I am done.

One mistake that didn't make the list.....Not considering how the other person might interperet what you say before opening your mouth.

I think the list is good basic advice for the first few dates for a man who is either very young and hasn't dated much, or a man who has been out of the dating pool for awhile and needs "reminders" (such as recently divorced) AND really does want to have things go smoothly - because the list is common sense manners that can apply to both genders when meeting a new person

I disagree with number 7... flattery is annoying and gets old fast.

Flattery is one of those things I guess it is really pointless if the person does not mean it. Kind of l9ike on the rate from one to ten thing... if someone says ten then you kind of dismiss what they say (unless you really are right around a ten). A compliment I guess is a good way too start a conversation; unfortunatly, alot of people do not mean it so much when they compliment.

Hummm so many rules we are dammed if we do and dammed if we don't.... I say play it by ear and go with the flow... Don't try to hard if they like you they will like you for you....

I don't believe the guy has to pay the first time but it is nice... last date I went on and the guy paid I text him back a few days later and asked if he would like to go out to eat my treat. Even though there was no chemistry I felt it was the best move to make...

Myself I prefer going dutch on the first date that way there is no expectations from either party.

Not all guys make more money then the women so why should they be the ones to pay all the time..

As far as the toilet seat goes my gawd if it is such a big issue that if the seat is up or down then put a damn spring on it so it will shut on it's own lmaonoway

I think you should just chill out and go with the flow. Each person is different and some people aren't bothered about things like the toilet seat left up. Greater things to worry about in the world i think

prolly right but it 's easy to get a little wigged out sometimes about things that r important to us

like that rule about being too relaxed - if u r too chill it looks like it doesnt matter
