I do take responsibility. That's why I have no regrets about what I've done, good or not-so-good!

there's an indulgence in relinquishing responsibility...I wish I had a scapegoat god, a scapegoat council, a scapegoat government.... it would be soooo much lazier!

The reality is very different. When people are faced with thier past actions it is always a "misunderstanding" or some other lame excuse. it is NEVER "I screwed up" Sure, on the internet, everyone is as pure as snow. But, the reality that I see every day is that only a small fraction of the population has the integrity to admit fault. I know I am a screw up....makes it easy for me to smile at the people who trip all over themselves trying to backpeddle when the past gets brought up. |

I am responsible, others are also responsible because I dont live in a vacuum and life is a sum of interacting with others whose participation or lack of CONTRIBUTE to our situation. But I have PRIMARY responsibility for making the EFFORTS I am able to make to live a better life and be a better person. |
